I am very prone to motion sickness and hate thrill rides because of it. I found 7DMT easy and had no sickness from riding it, and I was VERY nervous getting on it (because once upon a time Mission Space ruined my life). I think it is similar in intensity to thunder mountain but it is smoother. I didn't ride BTMM last trip so I am going on more distant memory though.
I get motion sickness extremely easily and was totally fine on 7DMT! We sat in the very first row but overall, I had no side effects from riding at all. It is MUCH smoother than BTMRR! There were no herky-jerky motions that I can remember, until the sharper jerks to your body on Big Thunder.
7DMT is very smooth, much gentler than BTMRR. If you're concerned about that the cars rock on mine train, I think that just adds to the smoothness of the ride.

Yes, I kinda hoped that the Mine Train swinging would make the ride more intense, but instead it just makes sure you smoothly lean the proper amount on all turns with no abrupt changes.
Since I can get queasy riding the elevator in Macy's, I chose to take Dramamine before doing SDMT. There was one point during the ride that I got a feeling that I would have been ill if I hadn't taken Dramamine. Not a coaster person, but I would do this one again because of the smoothness of the ride -- just not unmedicated. Better safe than sorry!
Okay thanks. Last time at wdw I ended up in the magickingdom hospital sick and thunder mountain was the first ride. I also had a lunch res at crystal palace which I thought I wouldnt make and have to pay them the ten dollars per person fee for cancelling before 24 hours. But the dramine made me better by lunch. I will definitely take some medicine before trying it.
For me, the tea cups are the most intense ride at MK. Hello dizziness and nausea...
Rode the SDMT twice last week (both FP), and the only thing that made me sick about it was the thought of people actually waiting in a standby line for two hours for a really, really, really short ride.
None at all for me. Very smooth ride. The "rocking" of the cars actually makes it smoother and easier to take because the cars take the turns less harshly.
its a very smooth ride, the rocking of the cars tends to be around the corers to swing you round to make it feel more but i find because of the motion of the car there is less jerkiness movment and therefore less motion sickness. i get motion sickness in cars quite easily and i find 7DMT to be very easy to ride with no problems!
Same for me. I was concerned because of the advertised rocking motion. I get motion sickness very easily. Was willing to risk feeling sick because I always try every ride. But it was very smooth, and no motion sickness. 4 times during separate trips. All good.
