Oh Linda, don't say the "H" word..... We cruised last September right in between two of them and while we were fortunate that our cruise didn't get cancelled, it made for lots of pre-cruise stress, last minute hotel changes and an altered itinerary with no Castaway! It sure wasn't Mickey's fault, but it was a disappointment. We're so thrilled to be cruising this time outside of Hurricane season!

Has anyone seen the thread on the main board about the changed menus on the 4/23 Magic? Seems that they were trying out new menus for the summer cruises but it doesn't sound like they were well received. Hopefully our cruise will have the "standard" menus?

Still packing here.... How is it that the 3 year-old requires just as big a suitcase as her parents?

Well, we get to go on the cruise! My foot still won't be better for a long time, so I will have to take it easy. DH and I both need the rest anyway. We'll be just like that DCL commercial where the guy is always sleeping!

Great news! That's the great thing about a cruise....you can do as little or as much as you want. Anything goes!

Here I am up at 12:21 a.m.. I finished most of the packing tonight. Misplaced part of my paperwork I was bringing, unpacked and repacked looking for paperwork. Had entire family looking for paperwork. Finally gave up and walked into the bed room and there was pesky paperwork in my Passporter.
AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH.
Was lying in bed trying to go to sleep for the last hour and listening to DH snoring away. My mind is awhirl with what do I have left to do and pack. DH thinks he is getting a cold. I told him to take some zinc and stay away from me. I am getting very tense worrying about what I may be forgetting. I will probably melt into a puddle when I get to the terminal!

Got great news from my DD24. She passed her last final and is a graduate of UCF on Friday. Today she passed her state boards in Medical Technology with flying colors and Thursday she has a job interview with the Central Florida blood bank.
She deserves this cruise too, for a job well done!
My DH and I have Thursday and Friday off to do last minute errands and drive up to the Port on Friday.
If I don't go into terminal meltdown, I will see you all there!

Got great news from my DD24. She passed her last final and is a graduate of UCF on Friday. Today she passed her state boards in Medical Technology with flying colors and Thursday she has a job interview with the Central Florida blood bank.

ok, since sat i have been to walmart 3 times (not a target person) and to the mall twice, but not just for cruise stuff i have been trying to get everything together for my DD17 prom, (like i need more stress) she is so picky we must have went to 7 dress stores before we found the "perfect" dress

i am getting a manicure and pedicure today, compliments of DD17 for moms day - believe it or not i have never had either before, i just do my own and tomorrow i am getting my hair done...got to get rid of those pesky grey hairs ...then my first real massage on the cruise... boy, its great to be pampered

so is everyone ready? i am and i don't know how i am going to get through work today and tomorrow ...

oh yeah, who is leaving tomorrow, goofytoo and tera??

Congratulations, Carol to you and your daughter. You should be very proud of her. What an accomplishment. We're just beginning that journey with DS in August. I know exactly what you mean about DH and the snoring. I have to wear earplugs to bed. I think he needs one of those machines. But Denial isn't just a river in Egypt!

Jott3-So glad you're coming with us. When life gives you lemons, make a gin and tonic (???, oops, I thinks that's limes). You'll have a great time despite everything, you'll see.

Bratray-DS17 also has a prom to go to when we get back. He ordered his tux yesterday, thank goodness. He went to his prom last year because he had a girlfriend but that's history. This year he's going to one at another school with a "friend". My friends and family keep asking about DS17's graduation. With all this prep for the cruise, planning a graduation party hasn't even crossed my mind. I'll just play Scarlet O'Hara and worry about that tomorrow.

I'm not into the pampering thing for myself. I've never had a pedicure because I hate feet and I had a manicure once and got acrylic nails. I'll never do that again. I can't believe how it destroyed my nails. If I had a better body image, I might consider a massage but that's not happening now!

Godspeed to all of you early travelers. We'll meet up with you at the port. Enjoy your car rides. Seriously, have safe trips and enjoy your extra couple of days.

Hi Everyone, we're leaving for FLA tomorrow!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!! I have officially lost my mind! DD & I are packed, DH is not, but preparing to.....my very dear friend MomMomMouse will be easily recognized by the extraordinary (matching) red & purple visors my DD picked out for us, in honor of our big 50 bdays! I am celebrating two months early, but what the heck!!!!
I probably won't have time to sign on again, so I hope everyone has a safe and pleasant (good luck PA drivers, my heart goes out to you) trip down to FLA! My DD is sick with a sinus infection, I hope she is up and about.

We plan on going this time next year to stay at Beach Club villas for My MIL & FIL 50th anniversary.

This will be our second trip "Home" we love the DVC.
I too have been getting up too early thinking of what I need to do for the day

I can't believe we are leaving tomorrow it has been a long year waiting for this trip!

Now it is time to get depressed because we have to wait another year for
another really fun vacation

I'm still packing, got a few more errands, cameras to charge up, a house to clean and have a mani/pedi appointment tomorrow at lunchtime. Then, around 7pm we're hitting the open road and it's FL or BUST! We're staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Cocoa Beach Friday night (it was FREE with Holiday Inn points).

Can't wait to meet you all! Our group (with Kaykels) will be there at Port no later than 10:30 and we'll all have on lime green shirts so no doubt we'll be easy to spot!

I made a quick stop at Home Depot today to pick up some more Alien Green Mickey heads to make sure we've got them on our carry-ons and strollers.

Soooo much to do and yet, here I sit on the DIS board! LOL!

This will probably be my last post - we leave Thursday night for the airport, to fly out early Friday morning! Almost done packing! I have one small suit case just for beach stuff - sand toys, water shoes, etc. but I got me and the girls clothes in just two - I thought that was pretty good! DH is packing on his own... we'll see!!
Green mickey head is on my carry on. If I don't see you in line, I'll see you on Deck 10 - I'll have the bubbles!!! Can't wait!!!

I'm sending my pixie dust to all of you leaving tomorrow to have a VERY safe trip Hopefully the bad weather here will be gone and out of the way by the weekend. We had severe storms here today with SO much hail. It damaged our van pretty badly I would say at least 50 dents. I am so upset
I'll be looking out for all of you at the terminal I would give you a heads up as to what color we'll be dressed in, but I don't even have a clue what we're wearing yet Should have made matching t-shirts, but I figured that was just one more thing to add to the list! We'll be arriving around 10:30am as well.

Here is my last official post because I'm leaving tomorrow too for my L-O-N-G drive. First stop... Blockbuster video, second stop.... CVS for Benedryl (not for the kids... FOR ME).
I'm going to miss our little chats leading up to the cruise.

Ultimately I will be at the Wilderness Lodge sneaking in a few hours of mouse-time before the cruise.

We leave tomorrow at 5:45am We're all very excited though
