I know what you mean about not sleeping. I was reading on the computer at 4:00 am also. We're glad you found the best and most fun loving group there is on these threads.
Well everybody I'm giving in and going to the doctors today for my hip. It's not getting better. Hopefuly she can give me something.

This is our last weekend to get everything done. I really hope I don't need to make another Wal-Mart or Target stop. It just might break the bank.

Bratay - where do you live in CO? I lived in Loveland/Ft. Collins for about 7 months - long story..... Loved it to visit but just not my place to live....
Sorry to hear about the snow. Pretty chilly here today, no sun, gonna rain - yuck!! Pollen is out in full force and my sinuses are already acting up! Here's comes the sinus infection!

I am so happy to find some fellow walkers! I really don't like to walk outside by myself...gets a little boring without a TV to watch to keep my mind off the fact that I'm excercising! Tori is a fun conversationalist but preschool talk is not too fun for long periods of time! hee-hee!!!

My year is a bit before yours(1953) but the same day!
I too and the packer in the family. It's not that my husband can't pack, It's just that I'm just naturally BETTER at it.
I start packing this Sunday. It's nice and warm here in FL and we are already in our summer clothes.

We were originally scheduled for room 6012 on deck 6 (cat 8) but my TA called today while I was out at Target (yes, again today!!) that we were offered an upgrade to a cat 4 on deck 8!! This one has a verandah (solid metal rail) instead of the big porthole window - I'm so excited!!!!! The only bummer is that we will no longer be on the party deck 6....but we will have a verandah!!! This is what we originally had booked but changed because of the money difference!

Boy, my vacation is already starting off wonderfully and we aren't even on board yet! Things can only get better IMHO!!

actually i live in niagara falls, ny (western ny) where the weather stinks year round

i know what you mean about the "kiddie" talk- my DS6 never stops talking- sometimes i have to remind him to take a breath and the questions are endless but i figure they are only little for such a short period of time then they turn into .....monsters, um... i mean teenagers, (i have a DD18 & DS19)

Do the CM gratuities have to be charged to the credit card or can you pay in cash? He's one that likes to haul around the money whereas I will just carry my Disney Visa...comes from having to carry a diaper bag and purse most everywhere, I guess.

So, thoughts? I know I should know the answer but I'm just not sure.

You can pay by cash OR by charging to the KTTW card. If you charge the tips, Guest Services will give you a receipt for each tip with the amount on it that you can put in the envelopes that are provide to each stateroom.
If you pay by cash just put it in the provided envelopes

Another big welcome to this crazy cruise! And CONGRATS on that upgrade! You will love that verandah! We made the mistake of booking one on our last cruise and now we can't seem to go back.
I have a DD3, who is really looking forward to the Kids' Clubs for the first time, but back in September she wasn't quite old enough and had to go to Flounders. She did okay and the counselors were wonderful!

And yes, you can pay the gratuities in cash. I hear the lines get really long at Guest Services on the last night with everyone charging the gratuities, so cash can have advantages.

HOPEFULLY we'll meet you onboard... cuz we still don't have our documents! Arrggg.

Because you know where I found my summer clothes????? (keep in mind, I have a summer clothes tote with hardly anything in it) I hope you're sitting.... they were tucked away safely on the top shelf of my closet underneath my sweatpants and gym clothes. I guess that tells you all how often I've been to the gym lately. hee hee

So I'm feeling like a misfit. I need to catch some of the group OCD and treadmill action. I need a group hug.

OH AND GUESS WHAT... I'M JOINING THE DECK 6 PARTY. Still no docs but I found out that I'm in cabin 6645. We should declare that the DIS board deck.

Welcome to the group Suzie and family members... I think I am overwelmed by all the ladies on this group right now as on e of 2 males that post regularly and have done all the packing for the trip.. We also will be finalizing this weekend the bags. Yes we are are all OC but, thats what makes the group unique I reported earlier that my magnets have faded over several months that were on the fridge and have found a great solution.. I purchased 2 foam leagal size pads of different color then applied an 8.5X11 sheet protector with staple to it to place prmted signs in the protector.. I have placed a lot of magnetic tape to the baks and then decorated all around the protectors with stick-ons.. They actually look fair.. I have also not put any personal info such as last names,etc... for security as I am still privacy minded, but have mickey heads and other designs made on magnet paper ande then cut out in that shape..I have also heard of the loss of said magnets from doors so I have also labeled each magnet with my web name for easy id.. If you also put them up fairly high most of the little ones can't reach them but, can ohh and aaahhh over them..I use print shop to make the designs and I have at least one for every night of the cruise.. Since DW and I are driving over the day of the cruise we have 8 days to go.. can't wait... aaaaarrrrrrhhhhh James

Good News..... the documents for the TiggerzFan and Kaykels groups have been located. As of this afternoon they were still sitting on the TA's desk, having been delivered by Disney on Wednesday. Grrrrrr.... allegedly they are being sent via DHL tonight. Not sure if they deliver on Saturdays so we're probably waiting til Monday.

James - your "invention" for the magnetic signs sounds great! And how impressive that you have several different ones to rotate throughout the week. Hope the foot is healing.

As for the rest of you OC packers and planners..... Like Kaykels, I've been properly shamed and am now motivated to head up to the attic to pull down the suitcases. I've had my DDs clothes in piles for weeks. It's just me that I need to seriously work on. DH took DD3 to a playplace tonight so hopefully I can get a good start.

I can't believe it's soooooo close now! Wow, one week from tonight many of us will be in the Port area (or WDW) ready to start our adventure. Let's think happy thoughts for clear skies and NO 70-foot waves!

We're going to do door magnets too. I've been thinking about them and what to put on them - actually have "stolen"/borrowed ideas from others I've seen. Can't wait to see how creative people are and what they put on their door!

We were at WALMART the other day, and I was asking for the letter size photo magnets that were suggested (Not sure WHAT I will put on them ,but figured I should buy some since I just happened to be there anyway ) Anyway, I had to ask a salesperson there to help me find them and she told me that a new shipment had come in b/c they recalled the ones they used to sell do to fading. Supposedly, she found us new ones, but I thought I'd pass that along to you since you mentioned yours faded as well.

I want to join the walking group too! I get REAL fussy if I can't exercise. (It helps the hormonal mood swings ) Would love to have walking and/or gym buddies!

The weather here has been nice and warm. It was supposed to have been 86 degrees today, but not sure if it actually got that hot. Worked from 7a-7p at the hospital, so barely even see the light of day. It is definitely summer weather though!

Off to go do some ironing. BTW....is anyone else a compulsive ironer?

I HATE to iron my clothes - isn't that what the wrinkle release setting is for on the dryer?! You remind me of my best friend from Palm Harbor - she loves to do laundry and iron! We were just made for each other, ahhhhhhhhhh........

Hi Mommymouse and thanks for the info on the magnets.. The ones I cut and put in a ziplock have not faded yet It was calling for rain in the Tampa Bay area starting Sunday and lasting throughout the week but, I don't put a lot of faith in the weathermen as they are wrong probably 90% of the time I have a good feeling about our "Magical" cruise.. I read on a report that Hercules the Mu-si-cal is no more as they have a new show for the rpositioning cruise.. Sounds like a winner to me..Going to look through for any new info available.. Have a good one all....James

Ok everybody,
Get this I went to the doctor for my hip, which turns out to be my back. She said all the muscles are tight and caused sciatica.She gave me shots and I need to go back on Monday for more.( Now comes the funny part).It's because I get to stressed with packing and getting ready for my vacation. The same thing happened last year, when we were going to Disney. Do you all think I'm O.C.?( no way right)

I'm glad to hear the Docs are on their way. I'm in cabin #6633. We should have most of deck 6 covered. Except for the lucky ones, who got upgrades.

This time next week most of should be having fun!!!!!!!!!!!
