Is everyone going to try to get Palo Reservations? For what nights?

I have never been there. On our first cruise, we didn't want to miss any of the regular restaurants since it was just a 3-day. We were on a waiting list on the second one (4-day), but they called our stateroom and said there was no availability.

I hope it will be easier this time since there are 7 nights to choose from!

We are going to try to get Palo's ressies on the 2nd Animator's Palate night. They don't do the whole B&W to color on that night.
We ate the brunch and a dinner there on our last cruise and enjoyed both.
Worth every extra penny!

hi everyone- i thought i would splurge and got the REAS package

this is what i have reserved thanks to sue ellen at DU;

Mon May 9 2005- Spa Taster ; 10:30 am
Mon May 9 2005- Tea for 2 @ 3:00 pm
Tues May 10 2005- Palo for 2; 8:00 pm
Thurs May 12 2005- Brunch; 11:30 am

Really looking forward to eating but gotta watch the weight- i have lost about 45lbs and really don't want to gain back 40lb!!

Hi Everyone! Thanks to mommommouse I now realize there is a thread for this cruise. I'm a total newbie to cruising - not to Disney though. Here is our preliminary plans. We are going with our neighbors who are expert disney cruisers so they have actually made all arrangements - I'm just there for the ride

We fly into Olrando on Friday and are hanging out at Downtown Disney till evening where we will drive to port where we have a hotel reservation - not sure which hotel.

We will probably be at the port at opening.
From what I know we have 2nd dining, we are in room 2519 - cat. 12 (still kicking myself for not going with my instinct and just paying for what I wanted). We are trying to get Palo reservations for Formal Night.

Key West - we are just going off on our own to see the sights. Neighbors have been to Key West twice now so they are pretty familiar with it.

Grand Cayman - we booked excusions through Disney - doing the tour, turtle farm, stingray city, hell.

Couzumel - Snorkeling and Beach Party!!!

Castaway Cay - Parasailing!

My plan for days at sea is to do any ship tour that I can. Does anyone have any info on the tours? And DH wants to see a movie - just so he can say that he did.

Oh! I also plan to at least do the Rainforest room and showers one day - just to say I did And I'm hoping to do maybe 2 days of the beginners Yoga since I want my jeans to fit when I get home

I will warn all of you the neighbors and us are party animals and love to participate in events. I have seen film footage of my friends doing john travolta and Oliva newton-john impressions - so if you see 4 crazy people w/o kids behaving like they are 15 year olds - yea that's us!

Glad to see you found us. You should to get to know us in 20 so days. Everyone here is great. We'll be looking for the party animals, having all the fun. That might be kinda hard though, when we're all going to be partying.
Can't even begin to tell you how much fun it will be!!!!!!!!!
Have you gotten your docs yet? Then you know the doc dance right!

LostGirls - Congrat's on the upgrade. We're deck 2 cat 9 too and were hoping for an upgrade, but no biggie. We'll just be happy to be there

MMDeb - My DD Jessica will be 13 on Sept 9th, so they are very close. Really hope those two hit it off so I don't need to worry so much about them making friends. It'll be nice for the girls to have someone to hang out with.

I think we're shooting for Tuesday for Palo's, but I guess it'll depend on our dining rotation. We'll just wait and see.....

Sorry you didn't get an upgrade, but you can always ask about one when you check in at Port. Assuming there's an upgrade available (which there may be, this cruise doesn't seem to be full), I understand it's often much cheaper than if you had booked ahead of time.

We have been to Palo for dinner 2 times this time we are only doing brunch
If I had to choose one or the other Brunch is the bomb!
especially if you like seafood YUMMM......
Palo is really nice especially if you don't get to spend much time alone
It is soooooo romantic
make sure you go after sunset or be prepared it gets really warm in there when the sun is setting My DH was roasting with his suit jacket on
maybe it was the sunburn or too much wine but it was HOT!


If you like chocolate you have to get the soufle it is to die for!!!!!

I'm so happy for you, Donna...sorry about the nausea. Hopefully, that will pass by cruise time. I'm in totally agreement with all the others...a celebratory drink or two or three is definitely in order. Let's see, birthday drinks , congrats on the baby drinks ...we're all going to be a bunch of lushes! Hey, it's vacation!!!
Does anyone know where I can find those little plastic boxes to put your valuables in when you're snorkeling? I have one from years ago but can't find them anywhere now. Any suggestions...Walmart, Target and our $ stores don't carry them, nor the pool store. Do I have to go to an actual scuba store? Thanks.

HI everyone

well, guess what was waiting for me when i got home today?
My PASSPORT!!! at last i am so relieved!!

tera you were almost right - you said that maybe i will get my documents and passport on the same day, well i got the docs on mon and the passport on wed!

we went to the casino last nite- my DH won $300 and i won a little over $200- i think he came home with $200 and me only $100- oh well, its still something extra for the cruise

Awww, you all are sooooo sweet to so graciously offer to take over for my beverage consumption. By the sounds of it, it's a GOOD thing I'll be the designated driver! Make sure I get a list of your room numbers so I can "deposit" y'all in the right place!

I'm not even counting on seeing mine until next week sometime. For some reason, with AAA, we never seem to get them much earlier than about 2 weeks prior.
Perhaps our TA puts ours in her special "High Maintnenance Clients" file after the multiple requests that I and SIL, Kaykels, have given her! LOL!
