Cast: Me 32, Hubby 33, Son 10, Daughter 7
Today is EE day at MK...now I wasn't sure if this was going to be worth it...I have heard that EE days are ususally the MOST crowded. Let me assure all of you that this was not the case during this trip!!! I have lived in FLA my entire life...and I personally have been to WDW 4 -5 times every year since I can remember. We would go to MK for the day...friends, family, school trips etc....(you get the idea).
We are at the turnstiles at 7:45am. The crowds seem pretty thin...but who knows I haven't done EE in a long time. Its now 8am and we are in, we head right to Peter Pan (long story...Daughter got shafted in Nov...so had to keep promise). Got right on Dumbo... Then we scooted to Tommorow land...rode on the speedway, did Buzz, then Space Mtn, (which took a little longer b/c of the kid swap). The time is now 9am. Looks like it might start getting a bit fuller.
We head over to the HM..., go the BTMRR, hit Splash Mtn, then we decided it was time to eat...(after all it was 11am). We had lunch at Peco's...and the food was Fab!!! (After eating in Universal/IOA for 3 days...this was gourmet!!).
I really wanted to see Hall of Prez...but we wandered around for a while...checking everything out....(have you figured out yet....that this place is empty??) I went into the Xmas store and bought my Tinkerbell tree topper that I have been wanting since last November. Its so cute!! Than we got into HOP. I havent seen it in a while...and my son is studing about that in school now...so it was worth it!!!
We then walked over to Pirates and rode on Aladdin...of course we are shopping and pin trading through out this whole day. We grab some dole whips...(and yes...they really are the best thing around!!! If you have never had one...you gotta at least try'em.) The kids had rootbeer floats.!! Then we let them climb the tree house, while we sat in the shade and enjoyed.
It is now almost 2'oclock...and we have pretty much seen everything we wanted to see...so we head over to Epoct. While we are there we go to Spaceship earth...(I think i dozed off for a few mins...I was getting tired and the ride stopped). Next Body wars and that whole pavillion. Test Track was shut down due to mechinal problems...(fine with me....Son was a little perturbed). Went to Living Seas...then to Figment...saw the 3-D movie. Kids really did not want to walk the countries again...and since me and hubby are going back alone..I said okay.
We cut through the International Gateway...when I got to the gate...the CM in the booth was very helpful getting me PS for Spoodles...(we were going to eat in Germany...but kids vetoed it). So we hopped the boat to the Boardwalk and had dinner at Spoodles...(my hubby, was hoping it was going to be as good as Ohana). It was GREAT!!! I had pasta with chicken and spinich, Hubby had the Fettachini (sp) Alfredo, and the kids had spg & meatballs. Oh yeah and I had a few cocktails too...but I cant remember the name...something orange with red on the bottom.
This was a perfect ending to a perfect day. The idea of going thru the MK and seeing all that we did by 2pm is incredible to me. Like I said I have been to the MK a zillion times...and this was one of the BEST...just because the crowds where soooo manangeable!!!
Got back to WL around 10 am. Lets see what time we make it up in the morning.
