I am looking to book my next Disney Cruise and after a 4day have decided I need more time! You all helped me so much with my 1st cruise, before I book this one, I wanted your expertise in helping me decide the Eastern vs. Western... which did you prefer and why?

Thanks in Advance! :maleficen

We prefer Eastern, extra sea day is heavenly...We just enjoy the ports a little more...Immigration in St. Thomas is not "fun", but once you are up and at it...Lots to enjoy...

Well, I haven't cruised before, but when we were picking between Eastern and Western, we chose Eastern because there was one more "at sea" day - and for us, it was all about being on the ship. As things turned out, we had to reschedule which put us on the Western itinerary which is also fine with us.

I'd say weigh it out in terms of the ports of call. For us, I didn't want to be tempted to spend too much money on excursions which was part of the appeal of having an extra at sea day.

Just food for thought from a newbie :)

We chose Eastern because of the extra day at sea and the ports. You may want to look into the Double Dip CC (Western) cruises so you get your CC day back.
