7 AM ADR at CM's - how early does the monorail run?

We will be staying at the Poly and I made an ADR for Chef Mickey's at 7AM (I know it's early, but my kids are early risers and we'll get a good start on the day :) I believe it's early entry at MK if I did that right).

My question is, what time will the monorail start running? I assume that would be the best way to get to the Contemporary from the Poly? Is it possible to walk (and how long?) if the monorail is not running yet? :confused3

Thanks! First trip to Disney with the family! :teeth:

You cannot walk from the Polynesian to the CR. Or to put it more correct, WDW will not allow you to walk to the CR. There are no sidewalks for most of the way.

The monorail starts at 7AM.

Your best be is to take a taxi.

You would have been better off to stay at a non MK resort (at least for this situation). WDW runs busses that start before 6:30AM to take guests from the other resorts to MK and CM for their early morning ADRs.

I'm not sure if the early morning breakfast buses service the MK resorts since most people (as Ed noted) are coming to the area for breafast from other Disney resorts.
I agree that a taxi would be your best option. They are normally waiting outside the main entrance. If one is not available a Cast Member will get one for you right away.
Your other option is to change your breakfast time to 7:15am so you can take the monorail.

Talk to a manager at the Poly the evening before and explain the situation. They should be able to arrange to have a bellman drive you in a car or van to have you get there on time. Make sure you are told who you can confirm this with in the morning, and make sure you call that person shortly after waking up.
