7/26/2014 - 12-Night Mediterranean Cruise (with Greece)

Just like to say HELLO

How is everyone doing?

Very quite here!

Anyone undertaking any planning?

Hello!

We are doing fine. We just returned from a short trip to Disneyland Paris to check out their Christmas decorations and festivities. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it.

As for planning ..... have not done much planning for this cruise, flights are set, hotels too and before I can get into excursion planning mode we will go on another trip to the US and a short 4 night cruise on the Dream. ;)

We go to DLRP on a very regular basis, about 3 times a year and have been AP holders for some years now.
Florida and California are our favourites as well, (have APs there as well) but for a quick weekend trip I'd rather fly for 2 hours than 10! ;)

For us DLP is a quick train ride on Eurostar, but prefer Florida

I think it's time that I finally get in gear to plan for this trip. We haven't booked our airfare yet, but we are looking to add a 1 night stay post-cruise and fly out early on Friday morning. Any recommendations for a hotel for the one night that would be easy to get to the airport in the morning?

Hi all, we will be joining you on this exciting cruise. It will be our first trip across the Atlantic (we are from Nova Scotia, Canada). We are a family of 3 (14 year old son) and will be travelling with friends also a family of 3. We booked at the Casp74 apartments pre-cruise we also need to book a night post-cruise probably will stay at the same place unless there are any other recommendations.

-- Need2Disney

-- Cabin # 2633 First seating (wanting 2nd seating)

-- Family Last Name is Cosgrove

--We are from Plano Texas (Dallas)

-- First names of those participating: me, Connie (40 something) and my mom, Bobbie

-- Favorite Disney character for me, Connie, it is hard for me to decide a favorite but if I had to pick one, it would be Mickey Mouse. Chip and Dale is Bobbie's favorite.

The two of us are going on this cruise because we love to travel the world and no one does vacations better than Disney.
Neither of us have any food allergies.

I love to travel with Disney Cruise and I am a DVC member and have ownership at Bay Lake Tower and Saratoga Springs.

So far to date I have been on four cruises:

Disney Wonder 11/23/00 - 11/26/00 Caribbean (husband and I)
Disney Wonder 10/02/11 - 10/09/11 Bahamas (husband and I)
Disney Wonder 08/27/12 - 09/03/12 Alaska (husband, two kids, my mom and myself)
Disney Fantasy 12/21/13 - 12/28/13 Western Caribbean (my family, Alex, and my mom)

Thank you,

Connie Cosgrove

:earsboy:

:welcome:
Great to see some new "faces" join our cruise.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you for second dinner seating. :goodvibes

Are you interested in joining the FE? And candy exchanges sounds fun. Definitely something we would like to do as well, especially since we don't have to haul it to the US this summer. :thumbsup2

Hi all,

After some extensive reading on these boards, I am so excited to post!

My husband and I JUST (as in, yesterday) booked this Mediterranean Cruise. We were looking for a big travel hurrah before we have kids (we are relatively new to the marriage scene!), and this looked amazing. We did one Disney Dream cruise previously, but this will be our first trip to Europe...ever.

We will be participating in the FE, so I'll post details in that thread or on the FB group. We have never done that before and it looks so exciting, and the list seems small and manageable at this point!

We have also started doing some serious research into excursions and ports, so I'll get back when I've found some interesting and/or helpful leads!

For those who asked about flights, I've found Google's ITA software online to be the best way to research and see a variety of options.

A few questions...
1. Even if we did not book our hotel through Disney (they were "booked" by this late time), if we stay at one of their two hotels (the Hilton or the Marriott) through our own booking, does anyone know if we can take advantage of DCL cruise check-in at the hotel?

2. Out of pure curiosity: I've seen a lot of mentions in this thread and others about how the cruise price has gone up since it first opened. This makes sense to me, but as a late booker, I guess I'm just curious - how much could we have saved if we booked this a year or 18 months out? I would love to know the price for one adult at that time...if you'd prefer to PM me, that's fine! Thank you so much.

I am so looking forward to this cruise, my huband will finally be home from a 2 year deployment and we are ready to have him home. We are a military family me, my husband Tim, little girl who is 7, little boy who is 3. We planned this trip last August and we have been planning every since, also invited the in-laws. :cheer2:

Welcome DevFam & Lewis002!!! We're super excited about this summer too pixiedust: We have two lovely girls, but this will be a couples cruise for us also DevFam. Once again, welcome and we're happy to have you!!!

Great to have you on board!
Nice to see that we have someone else who will sign up for the FE. Please just let me know everyone's first names, ages of kids and your stateroom number, so I can add you to the list.

And as far as your fare comparison goes. We booked right when they came out with an OBB, but our stateroom (5A) went up from $2000 for the two of us.
