7/24/2011 5 Night Disney Dream cruise

We got our travel documents today:cool1: I have not been on our thread for a few days so we were not expecting them. I hope everyone receives their travel documents real soon:goodvibes The weather in Maine has been lousy the last few days:sad2: so I can't wait for our double dip:banana::cool2:

We did not receive ours yet either. I wasn't expecting them this early, but I'll take them!!

I checked the mail again today and we still haven't received them but no biggie, we will still be on the lookout. I transferred ressie from DCL to travel agent for OBC as well. I didn't expect them until 1st week of July anyway. Does anyone know if they come directly from DCL or from travel agency? I'll sit here...and wait...and wait...:bored:

I'm surprised mine came so early. They came regular mail, and I believe they came directly from DCL, not our TA.

JS, my 14yo is 24/7 baseball. I also have an 18yo son who just graduated HS and is a seasoned DCL cruiser!:goodvibes

We didn't get ours today, but I think our address is still my mom's. oops

Ours came from Disney not our TA. The funny thing was it was sent to our school address not our personal address. Lucky for us DH went into work and saw them there.:woohoo: We live and work at a boarding school in a small town in Maine. Hope the rest of you get your docs soon because it really make it seem so real. The sun is out in Me today and it should be for a few days:cool1:

To DJAyFitz ..Welcome aboard! :welcome:

:thumbsup2 To Laura - thanks for the suggestion re CI&S. Decided to stay with family in FL the night before. It's just a little over 8 hours to FL from N.Georgia, and then DD can have an extra day visiting with her cousins the night before, and we will either park at the port or go with Park & Sail to save a few dollars. I'm so glad to have DisBoards for all these suggestions!

pirate: Cruise Docs have arrived! They even list the excursions I've signed up for online. So glad there will be the double dip and CC is on our first day! We did Ardastra Gardens on our own last cruise, might do this again, DD enjoyed feeding the birds but we had missed the flamingo "march"

I am almost ready to start packing!!!

DD just arrived at my computer and wants to show everyone her favorite emoticons:

:cheer2: princess: :bride: :grouphug: :hippie:

Man I spoke to soon-Got my documents today!!! They have stuff that I canceled on there, but that's ok :)

Grr...still haven't got mine yet!!! I am so jealous!!

Anyone else onboard for the July 24, 2011 Disney Dream cruise with 2 stops at Castaway Cay?

I'm Danielle and will be sailing with my DH Derek, and my then DS14 Keegan and then DS10 Brennan. It will be our 14th DCL cruise and 1st on the Dream (unless we can squeeze another one in if any great deals come out!)

hi Danielle,
I moved from Hanover, but go back often. We did the Dream and loved it! We are doing it again in October with the Prin's. You will love it!

DS10 and I are back from our 7th annual trip together for Star Wars weekend events. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed 6 nights at Kidani, flying in June 8th. We spent 3 days at DHS (2 of them for Star Wars weekends stuff), 1 day at AK, 1 day at MK and 2 days at Epcot. As of Monday the crowds had gotten a bit bigger than last week due to more schools being out and more tour groups. The first few days were in the mid 80s with a nice breeze. It was hotter here in PA during that time! By Sunday, the heat/humidity were getting worse. We really had a lot of fun and Brennan was able to get the celebrity Star Wars autographs he wanted, do Jedi training, the padawan mind challenge, watch the parades and Hyperspace Hoopla. We rode the new Star Tours ride 10 times total. We were on the quick service dining plan and managed to eat well at a variety of locations and were able to completely avoid burgers and chicken nuggets.

No cruise documents here yet. Can't wait to be on the Dream!

As far as transportation, we always have a rental car and park at the DCL terminal parking. We may do the Radisson parking this time since it's cheaper and have DH drop me and the boys off and meet us after taking the hotel shuttle. The one time Beth and I went with our 2 oldest sons on a 3 day cruise (with the kids sail free promo) we used Happy Limo and they were great and reasonably priced. I think we paid about $120 each way.

Yeah! Our cruise documents came today. For anyone who's still waiting, they came USPS directly from Disney. I say that because in the past, we received them FedEx from the travel agent.

The most exciting thing, other than actually receiving them and meaning that the cruise is closer, is that they printed all your reserved excursions, dinners, and Spa appts. in your booklet. They must have been printed very recently, as I just added the two-day float rentals last week, and there they were in our booklets.

For anyone still looking for a place to stay in Cape Canaveral, I got another email today from CI&S for a 48 hour sail. It's the same deal we got last week, but it's a really good deal. Hope that helps someone.

Lauri

Lol!!! I'm wondering what do you actually get in the mail? :confused3

All of the cruise documents with the itinerary and your list of scheduled activities. You're in DFW and I'm in Houston so I think they are using Pony Express to get to us over here in TX. :lmao:

Checked the mail today...I got a rock. :sad2:

I am thrilled for everyone that has received them because I know I am next in line! Just out of curiousity, do they send out the documents in the order that you are allowed to check in online with Castaway Clubbers first and then first timers? It would make sense.

:rotfl:

Nope, send 'em all at once; my bro came same day as mine, and he's never sailed. :thumbsup2

Good to know. Well, there's plenty of time to receive them and if they never come I'll just print everything out. We'll be on the ship because I have the receipt!
