Hello all my friends I never get to talk to any more!
It's exhausting being back to work! It's not so much that we are busy at work, it's all the other stuff I have to do after work. The driving the girls here and there and the errands! Last night I went to bead right after the girls and was asleep in minutes!
Off to try to ketchup now!

I think this cruise is nicely laid out in that right after the St. Petersburg exhaustion we will get a nice relaxing day in Taillinn . . . then Stockholm, then a few days at sea . . .

Walking uphill on the cobblestones is not so relaxing. But they lead you to the center square with lots of cafes and pubs to relax at. It's a great medievil town and the reason we chose this cruise over going to Helsinki.

Well, I am showing my bias but I do find walking relaxing, as opposed to being in a tour bus shuttled around, but I can see that I might be in the minority here. My idea of a wonderful relaxing day is to wander around a walkable city with some idea of what I want to see but plenty of time to get sidetracked as well.

Apology accepted. But, trying to explain your actions after the fact still doesn't get you off the hook, especially with your wife.

I am like you and don't like being shuttled in a bus either.
It actually is a nice town to wander around, it's just those darn cobblestones get so hard to walk on after a while. You will love wandering the side alleyways and poking in and out of the shops.
On one of the walls in an alley there are headstones dating back to around 1050. They are encased in plexiglass with some stories on their background and the town's background. We found this after walking along the sweater wall.
We also found a little glass factory with the artist blowing glass and then further up the alley was an artist outside a shop painting.

Josh and I went shopping on Saturday and noticed that we've got a Hollister shop opened in our local shopping mall. I aksed him if he'd ever heard of Hollister and he said "no". So I was just wondering what type of clothes do they do there ? are they expensive ? if so are they worth the price ? and are we talking major brand label here ?

Major Label and currently "in" thing to do. Clothes are supposedly pre-shrunk and the quality is better than Aeropostale. Although I like Aero too. Clothes on the female side run small but as I said the clothes are pre-shrunk and if your on the vertically challenged side, may be a bit long and require tailoring. All in all, a very Californian lable. Was started in Huntingont Beach, CA I believe and is considered a "snobby" store. The girls are all sticks and very similar to an A&F store. I was told by my son don't buy me anything (clothes wise - he says I scarred him as a child by dressing him in green - it matched his eyes - LOL) but when I come home with a Hollister item - he wears it. BTY, he's 6'2 and about 2:10 lbs and wears a XXL in their items so they too run a bit small I think. At just about any other store he is an XL. Hope this helps, I wait until sales for anything to buy there. OH! Avoid at Christmas or buy online. The music tends to be a bit loud and the lines are horrendous. Their symbol is a blue type of dove usually on the shirt somewhere. Or is it the name Hollister? Not sure but I seem to recall a small dove - sometimes lookds like a sillohuette of a seagull on it. You've probably seen it but hadn't realized it. BTW, the clothes at American Eagle are preshrunk too. Makes a difference as some of their clothes are big - I range from a med all the way to a large to an XL depending on the style of clothes.

I had never really heard of them either until we were at Disney last year and noticed a ton of kids wearing t-shirts with Hollister on them. A few months later when we were at a "real" mall (ours is awful and only has JC Penney and Sears) Keegan asked to go in one and loved everything. I didn't buy him anything at that time, but it was close to his birthday and I came home and bought him some shirts online. Comparing them to other labels I know, I think they are much thicker and better made than Aeropostale. He had a brand new Aeropostale hoodie sweatshirt I got him last season on sale yesterday and I realized last night it had a hole in the seam of the sleeve already. I'd say they are similar to American Eagle. I haven't been to an Abercrombie shop in years, so I can't compare those two.

Suddenly your "hot" if your wearing anything from it or your considered well off if you wear everything of theirs - once you step into a store you'll know what I mean.

The grown up Princess Party, was that just for that cruise, or is it something new Disney is doing? Are we going to have something like that on ours????

it was a DIS gathering but we got lots of envy from other people. All welcome and it was tons of fun! Check ebay or sale stores for tiaras and don't forget the gloves! I forgot mine - but not this time.

No I haven't added them to the list but I will do that now.

I think the grown up princess party was a group DIS thing and I definately think we should do it.

I'll force myself to drage the tiara and gown if everyone else wants to do it.

It started as an adult idea because DCL does not do the Princess Party Tea for adults just for the little girls but since every lady is a princess, we sorta made our own opportunity. It was fun!

Sorry folks I won't be packing anything unnecessary in my suitcases - that includes formal clothes, which we don't own anyways. We pack the bare minimum.

Yeah we just bagged the DCL excursion still had to pay though!

How about the guys go to the Pub & the Ladys go shopping!

I am starting to think about going to Morroco, oops thats the next cruise when we are in Cadiz Spain

Cannot think straight just got back from Dim Sum with the Missus & all the MSG must be kicking in!

Why can't we all just go to English Pub!!!

From what I have seen, you can easily take a taxi from the port to Dover Castle, explore it for a while, walk through Dover doing a little shopping, and still make it easily back to the ship early afternoon . . .

Just a Dis thing . . . we even had a poll about which night to do it, and ended up doing it the second formal night.

But you could have just gotten off the ship and gone to a perfectly nice little beach a little farther east than the train station -- about a 15 minute walk . . .I thought Villefranche was wonderful and the train system there so easy to use (we went to Monaco on our own) . . . in 2010 I'd like to go to Nice and maybe even Eze that day.

Well, that beach idea sounds good, we did take the shuttle and shopped at the flea market and then ate at a cafe, which was nice. It was just alittle hot and humid.

In Monaco we did take the train to the palace. At the time, my issue was that we had to wait an hour in the train station and then climb up all the steps to the palace getting off the train. My dad was with us and it was too much for him (he had a heart attack a few years ago.) He was breathing heavily and really struggling. So in retrospect, I wish I had just booked the DCL excursion that day. I ran into Maryann and she indicated that her excursion was really nice. I just keep being so afraid that he would have a health emergency.

I've heard that Eze was wonderful but we didn't have any umpf to go there after everything else we did that day. I would like to go back and check it out.....did you book the third cruise?!!
