Izzi,

Did you add the link to the first page? That is great that you've been doing this. To be honest, I haven't checked any of the out yet, but I know they are all there when time gets a little closer.

The grown up Princess Party, was that just for that cruise, or is it something new Disney is doing? Are we going to have something like that on ours????

No I haven't added them to the list but I will do that now.

I think the grown up princess party was a group DIS thing and I definately think we should do it. princess: princess: princess:

I might get in trouble for doing my wife's job, but:

Yes, this was a DIS Event. Caro did not participate as we booked late (89 days out) and we were not able to "ketchup" on all the activities.

OK y'all are going to have to give me the title - I think I know it but I haven't followed Grisham since late 90's - the rape trial of the little girl in Mississippi I think?

I read this over the summer - it was cute and made me hungry while reading

I think it's Playing for Pizza..........the food descriptions are fantastic.....I know "Grazie"......but when I'm there I understand some of what's being said........it's my Spanish training and my Italian grandparents....maybe we could just teach them English......?:yay:

Yeah not like the EB Repo! That was a vacation!:beach:

I did the Med in 2007 we were so tired by Villafrance we didnt get off the Ship!:lmao: :rotfl:

These port intensive cruises are very very wearing!:faint:

I would have loved it if they only did Baltics with a Repo home for Labor Day! I would have been all over that!:cool1: :cool1:

It is not easy dragging 4 little ones my only hope is that my youngest will be 6 on the cruise so maybe it will get easier!:scared1::dance3: :grouphug:
Who am I kidding!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl:
I agree about Villefrance..........we were a little burnt out by then so we didn't really enjoy our excursion that day..........also, it was our least favorite destination b/c we couldn't get off the boat and enjoy the beach.....we went to the Callaques of Cassis.......they were beautiful, it's a shame we didn't book it privately.

Thanx Izzie

I have bookmarked it for research!:teacher:

I have more than a couple of hours as I get kicked off the ship with everyone else I just dont have to pack :cool1:

I can spend the whole day in Dover!

I think there are 3 or 4 Dissers doing this. :dance3:

Yes, right now, we are planning to do both (if I can afford it..... ) It's our 30th anniversary that year so it would be nice to do something special.

I have to say if I were suggesting places for a tourist to go I wouldn't put Dover high on my priority list but I'm sure that there will be plenty of stuff to keep ALL of your gang happy and occupied :goodvibes :goodvibes

What would you suggest we did with that time?

I meant if I were advising a tourist coming to England for a holiday, Dover wouldn't be on my "must visit" list, but given that you are "forced" to spend a few hours there courtesy of DCL there are a fair few things to do in and around the town.

This is why you need to let your wife do her job on here, I can't see it either. :lmao:
You keep this kind of stuff up and you will be staying home on your anniversary cruise and I will be going in your place. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Well, is there enough time to do something else? You know, a day trip type thing? :confused3

Yeah we could always hit a Pub for some SCRUMPY!:drinking1

Hey it will be our 20th wedding anniversary year 27th year of dating:dance3: :faint:

Yeah we just bagged the DCL excursion still had to pay though!:headache:

The guys can do the tour of the castle and tunnels on 1 side of the port, while the ladies go to the outlets and shops on the other side of the port. :woohoo:
 :drinking1 How about the guys go to the Pub & the Ladys go shopping!:drinking1

I am starting to think about going to Morroco, oops thats the next cruise when we are in Cadiz Spain:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Cannot think straight just got back from Dim Sum with the Missus & all the MSG must be kicking in!:headache:

Well I got my confirmation for both cruises from TA yesterday!

Now I have to figure out how many days in London before cruise?

What to do in Dover between cruises?

What to do in Barcelona after cruise, I am thinking about heading to Madrid for a look see then flying back to Boston From there?:surfweb:

So much to plan so little time!:lmao: :rotfl:

From what I have seen, you can easily take a taxi from the port to Dover Castle, explore it for a while, walk through Dover doing a little shopping, and still make it easily back to the ship early afternoon . . .

Izzi,

Just a Dis thing . . . we even had a poll about which night to do it, and ended up doing it the second formal night.

But you could have just gotten off the ship and gone to a perfectly nice little beach a little farther east than the train station -- about a 15 minute walk . . .I thought Villefranche was wonderful and the train system there so easy to use (we went to Monaco on our own) . . . in 2010 I'd like to go to Nice and maybe even Eze that day.

I think this cruise is nicely laid out in that right after the St. Petersburg exhaustion we will get a nice relaxing day in Taillinn . . . then Stockholm, then a few days at sea . . .
