They will cut, my guess at least 0.5% but that was why the £ dropped last week, in fact the currency markets predicted far lower by Christmas maybe to-wards 2% in the new year, so factored in on the current rate.

What will effect us/you is any unpredictable events, and I 'think' our dirty washing is out and in the worlds arena, so all accounted for and in fact maybe an over reaction, I personally feel the result of the USA election ( whilst most people now think thats a foregone conclusion), will still have an effect sooner/later, as the new Economic polices come clear and into the open.

And still no one has considered the USA national debt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I think the Mastercard with the rather high limit, might be transfered from George W B to someone else and he might not be able to make the minium repayments each month!

Lets hope that a lady, deputy doesn't get in and go shopping on it for her new wardrobe forcing it up further.

Izzi, I've sent you a PM with more website links to go on the 1st page. They are all for Oslo.

Thanks for posting all the links I send you. :thumbsup2

Not sure if this has been posted on here, but if you look at http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discounts-cruise.htm,
there's an amazing $99 bounceback offer for DCL. If you book a 4 or 7 day cruise to go on between 1/31 and 3/28 by December 15, you can get a 3 day for $99 per person if you sail August through December.

Yes read the thread...interesting must mean 2009 sales are very slow to offer it, staying in the Carribean all year was a silly decision for them, too much of the same, no verity, I would have had something esle, maybe 10 /11 night Southern Carribean, or a trip down to Panama and back, sales must be hit by the economy.

Its a pity they do not open it up to anyone who has cruised in 2008, but for me, with flights its a none starter, in the USA I would do it.

I wish we could take advantage of this offer, but can't with school.

It is interesting that the 3/14 sailing is omitted from the offer. Not sure why this one would be omitted, especially since Easter isn't until the middle of April.

Spring half break? or any other event? That cruise must be getting full.

OK

If you are all that bored, let me give you a QUESTION OF THE DAY.

WHAT RESTAURANT/ MEAL. on ship is your favorite, and say for Breakfast/Lunch/ Dinner.

I must say I prefer Topsiders for Breakfast but have the odd sit down in Lumière's. I like to see the food spread and then decide what i want.

Again lunch is often Topsiders wit the odd Lumière's, often thats a port day and we nip back for lunch and then back off again.

At Palo I prefer Brunch with Dinner next, Afternoon tea has gone very downhill.

Dinner would be Animators for the 'show', but Lumière's for the food,

and to be greedy the Dessert buffet!!!

You can see I am not a great lover of Parrot Cay,

One of the nicest surprises on the PC crossing was, believe it or not, dinner at topsiders. We picked that because we had early dining and didn't want to miss any of the crossing. We were seated inside right by a window (it was raining outside).
It's sitdown service in the evening - typically by staff who are in training to be regular wait staff. They were very good, and the food was just fine.
It was not crowded at all.

We're cruising Dec 7, right before the 12/15 deadline for the $99 bounceback. I wish we could book a 3 day instead of the required 4 or 7 day in Jan-March and miss less work/school. I guess DH and I could always do a 4 day sans the boys, but I'm not sure then that we'd get the $99 offer for our son's on the 3 day if they aren't with us. It's just such a good deal to pass up. Maybe they'll expand the dates. I'd imagine that bookings must be way down to offer such a deal.

Sounds good... I have never done this.. now I have read, you select you own starter, then they serve a main course, the same as the main dinner rotation that night, and then desert, do you get yourself or do you order and it comes...

Some debate on the main boards, do you tip? I presume not, do they say anything on this issue?

As Christmas and Channukah coincide this year does anyone fancy doing a Ballyhooers holiday card exchange ???

If so send me your postal address and I'll compile a list and then PM it out to all those participants at the end of November

Laura in a nutshell it works like this.

You PM me your full name and postal address, as do all the other people who want to participate. I then compile a list with all that information and send it out to all the people on the list. You then send a christmas/channukah/holiday card to all the people on the list and you should get one back from all the people on the list.

It's a nice way to bring us all closer together and celebrate the holidays and it also great fun to see the cards coming through the door as they won't all be coming from the same country. :grouphug:  :grouphug:  :grouphug:  :grouphug:

Just as a reminder...anyone else want to join the many who have already contacted me
