Sorry you are ill today, Andrew! You are so, so correct about the 7/28/07 group, and I agree that I am getting the same feeling here.

Yes, hi Dan! I see he answered later, but yes, he was the one with the lost luggage. Dan, I knew you were on the PC repo because you would on rare occasions post something hilarious on the cruise thread!

Tried to have a sleep but too much noise around just up for a read and take some Flu Meds!:)

That's terrible . . . you could rest and do a little online research into Baltic ports . . . I know that kind of fun always takes my mind off of anything unpleasant . . .

We are going with late seating. That's what we had on the Repo and liked it. Our previous 2 cruises we had done early. The late seating meant we didn't have to rush to get ready for dinner. DD's would go see the show and then we'd go to dinner. It will be confusing with the time difference. St Petersburg will be 10 hours different for us from Seattle! :scared1:
I'm going to scare you even more, St. Petersburg will be 11 hours difference from Seattle.

Somewhere I heard we could see them in St. Petersburg........Barb please confirm!!:goodvibes
No you do not see the Northern Lights in St. P in late July. Sunset will be around 11pm and sunrise around 4:30am.

Hey - didn't you do our ROMEancing the Mouse logo for us back in 2007? Have you any ideas? We are still brainstorming and be sure to check out some of our ideas - we are having a blast coming up with ideas. You'll have to meet Mike - Cruzing Mike - he came up with an adorable idea.

 Hey - did you ever make it on the August Repo? I thought you said you were going but I never saw you or am I getting you and Donioc mixed up? I think its all the D's. Sorry if I am.

We met Dan on the PC Repo. We even hung out with him in Rockin Bar D one night. (Dan, I'm not sure if you were still there when I did karaoke...if you were, I'm sorry you had to listen to that.:lmao: )

Also Josh pointed out that we won't be getting on a plane to go on holiday until probably 2012 now and for us globetrotters that really is saying something !!!!! As our holiday in 2009 is by ferry to Ireland and then back to the UK by ferry to the Peak District and we're able to drive from our house to Dover as it's about 2 hours away
You and Andrew have to keep reminding us that you are very close to port and that's just not nice. :sad1: Some of us wish we could drive to a port, especially a port in England. We would be very happy to live in England but we are stuck on this side of the pond, but will continue to visit as much as we can.

Please share....please, pretty please!!! :hyper:
I think I might have some Froot Loops. :jumping1:

If I could shove some down the network cable to you Barb you know I would. Hey maybe that's a good idea for my gift as fish extender prezzies. Hey are we doing fish extenders this cruise. I personally had a great time doing them on the Med cruise and I know the boys loved seeing what was delivered each day and then running round the ship making our deliveries.

I think we may come in 3 days early unless there is more stuff to do and as I posted earlier - am relying on our Brit friends to start the suggestions. About time they return the favor huh?

You could go in 1 month early and have plenty to see and do. Going in 3 days early is a big tease, but it's a start.

One thing we did this past summer that we had never done before was to take a flight on the London Eye and it was fabulous. It was so amazing to see the city from a bird's eye view.

We just flew in a day early in July since DH couldn't take any more time off. This cruise we are planning on going in 2 days early. We've been to London many times so we just plan to catch up with our friends and do some shopping at Harrod's. Oh yeah....we'll have to pop into a pub or 2 to sample the libations :drinking1 :drinking: :drinking1

We're booked!!

My two cents: I LOVE the it's a small world poster theme idea. It would make really nice looking magnets and t-shirts. Maybe a simple name with that logo.

But Barb from our point of view you're the lucky ones, I would just LOOOOOOOOVVVEEEEEEEE to be able to drive to my "happy place" instead of spending between $8000 - $10000 on airfaire each time we come over

I know you would send them right now if you could. But the crumbs and melted chocolate would make such a huge mess.

Someone will have to give me the quick 'rules and guidelines' of the FE. We haven't done a cruise since people have started doing them.

Didn't think of it that way. We are doing the long drive in April for Easter week at WDW and then again in June for a 4 day cruise and 3 or 4 days at WDW. We actually haven't been down there since Easter 2007, our longest time in not going down there in about 17 years. We usually go 2 or 3 times a year, but we've had too many things going on around here that have kept us closer to home or wanting to visit other places for now.

Since I've been speaking of popping into pubs and :drinking1 what is the legal drinking age in the UK?

I'm assuming that you know what a FE is. So the way we did it on the Med cruise was that 1 person collected the name of each family who wanted to join in and then allocated each one of those families a day that they would deliver their prezzies. As there were quite a lot us us playing there were more than 1 familiy a day making deliveries which was nice. The gifts had to be small so that they could go into the FE and should also be representative (ish) of where you live or the cruise.
It was that simple really BUT IT WAS SUCH FUN :yay: :yay: :yay:

I do know what the FE is, just didn't understand the process and how it's determined who passes out the gifts and when.
Oh my, I'm having visions of hauling a suitcase with FE gifts only.
