Can I ask those that are joining in to provide me with cabin number (if known) & e-mail address (to make it easier to get the list of cabins to you)

This is very strange since I can see dinner available for almost every night for 2 people, only days 6 and 11 are full and the other nights only have a couple of time slots full.
My suggestion would be for everyone to check again in the morning to see if the days change from 91 to 90 and that opens up any Palo spots for you. We are gold, so we've been able to book the last couple of weeks.
I booked something in every port but St Petersburg. We're still not sure if we are going to DIY or not, but this way we are covered if we don't.
Tallin- Medieval Spirits of Estonia
Palo Dinner- July 28th at 6:00PM
uuhhhh, Medieval Spirits, as in DEAD people? Has Kathryn changed her views on dead people??
And we will see you at Palo!![]()
Our guide told us that if you looked at each piece in the Hermitage for 1 minute it would take you 1-2 years to see everything, so the 2½ hours is really just a quick walk thru the museum with stopping at a few select pieces to get their history and such. It's overwhelming, but worth the chance to be there.
We did the Royal Treasures room and loved the time spent there and the pieces are spectacular.
Keep in mind the extra half hour will be the time spent in the RT room.
If you want to book both excursions you are looking at you will need to contact DCL to book them for you because of the time frame.
Thanks for the help. I called DCL and they were able to get us on the Gold Room excursion and the Evening Cruise. I guess when there is less than 2 hours between excursions, you cannot do it online but they can do it for you over the phone.
Very exciting!
Grr. I tried calling for that same type of thing - less than 2 hours between excursions and I was told they couldn't do it and we would have to wait until we got onto the cruise.
I suspect the Hermitage with Gold Room excursion really does end at 5pm, not 5:15pm as listed online. They previously told me it was ending at 5pm, so maybe the 5:15pm end time is just a mistake.

Sounds like some power struggles going on over there at DCL.I, too, have tried to book an evening excursion by calling and was told it wasn't possible. I really pushed and explained that it was just a 15 minute difference. I also explained that other people had been successful in 'overridiing' the system. I was put onto a manager who wanted to know the names of people who had been able to book inside the 120 minutes of time between excursions. What a question! I told him that was a matter of privacy. He said he would have to investigate the matter. That was 8:00 this morning. I called at 4:00 and they told me the investigation could take up to 48 hours. What is there to investigate? It is simply yes or no. Very frustrating.
It says that viewing the torture chamber is optional! Heck, we're going to go see a castle! Don't princesses
live in castles?

Big discussion at home tonight about formal night.
We love the pictures we get from dressing up formally. Our opportunities for dressing up like this are few and far between at home. Plus we like not having to pack formal tuxes for the guys with the opportunity to rent them on the ship.
My DS16 has said he would feel very awkward if most men/boys were not wearing tuxes and he was and DH says he would feel bad not wearing one if several were.
From the last time we discussed this on our thread I think most people said they were opting to not dress formally for formal night.
Is that still the case
Also DH is not crazy about wearing formal wear to Palo.
