Big discussion at home tonight about formal night.

We love the pictures we get from dressing up formally. Our opportunities for dressing up like this are few and far between at home. Plus we like not having to pack formal tuxes for the guys with the opportunity to rent them on the ship.

My DS16 has said he would feel very awkward if most men/boys were not wearing tuxes and he was and DH says he would feel bad not wearing one if several were.

From the last time we discussed this on our thread I think most people said they were opting to not dress formally for formal night.

Is that still the case:confused3

Also DH is not crazy about wearing formal wear to Palo.
My husband always brings and wears a suit.

Laurie,
My DH said he would rent a tux before bringing a suit with him for formal night.:woohoo: I really encourage him because it is the only time I get to see him in a tux. :cool1: I told him that there will possibly be 2 semi-formal nights which might require a sportcoat and tie. :headache: He's not thrilled about that extra burden :rolleyes1

Sounds like you're hoping/planning on going to Palos on Formal night. That would be cool :cool1::cool2: I'm curious to find out what type of theme nights there will be...pirate: and/or Viking. Viking costume will be a challenge to come up with.

two and a half more hours till the window opens. :dance3:

On the Panama Canal cruise, we found tuxedos for the boys on Ebay for about $30 each. I think they mostly still fit the boys, and my girls LOVE to dress up. So we will bring at least one formal for each of us. Probably easier for us as we will bring an entire suitcase for our formal clothes and then we have 6 suitcases left for our other stuff.

:dance3:Hoop De Doo!:dance3:
My 5 year old DD really enjoyed Hoop De Doo tonight we were front row left!

Back in BLT Fireworks are going off at MK! Rained from 2PM on:mad:

Jealous you were watching Wishes and we weren't. :sad1: :sad1:
Sorry about the rain, hope the rest of the week is dry.

Sounds like you are all having a blast.

No formal clothes for us. We will take something nice to wear but DH will not take a suit or sportcoat. Not sure what our friend's will do, but they are driving to the port so no need to worry about flying and luggage weights.

I'm confused on this. Is what you have listed after the restaurant the menu that will be served that night? Have they given you any info on what shows will be in the WD Theater each night?

Morning from bleary eyed UK - it is 4.57am! Ready to log on & get my trips - post again at a reasonable hour after more sleep, especially as I'm off work today

'Morning to you as well. I thought it odd to see you post this late/early.

Can you repost the FE list so I can make sure everyone is included in the first post? thanks

Good luck everyone, most of you are probably frantically trying to get some Palo ressies!

Going to bed, hope to hear that you all got the most important things that you are trying to get tonight! :)

Getting frustrated - have logged on & it says it is still 91 days to go. I definitely waited until 5am, so I guess I'll have to wait 20 mins & see what happens then. Will post FE list later

I just now logged in to see what the site says and I'm getting the 91 days as well. I haven't been logged into the DCL site at all for a couple of days. Sorry you are having that problem.

No worries on when you get the FE list posted.

Got in and got Palo dinner for my anniversary on the 19th at the time I wanted (6:30) so I'm happy:goodvibes

Did not see any Palo Brunch or Tea available-so I guess I'll be trying back for that :confused3

OK, I feel better that it is not just me, but would love to know whether we are all wrong with our timings or DCL are on some different time trajectory! Will try again at 5.20 and if it is still 91 days I'm going back to bed & will risk the fact that we won't get what we want when It is finally the DCL 90 day mark!

I got my Warnemunde excursion and had to settle for Palo the last night of the cruise.

Just went back and checked and the number of days still says 91 even though it is open for booking:confused3

I'm seeing brunch for 11am on Wed. 7/28, but then I'm also getting the 91 day message. :confused3

I'm guessing our decision for tux or not to tux is on the back burner for a while.

Finally got my DH to sit down with me and go over excursions earlier today-of course trying to cram it all in one sitting was too overwhelming.
But we were able to confirm that we will be going the DIY route for the ports-once we layed it all out side by side that was what worked better for us.

Hope everyone gets what they want tonight.

Good morning Celestine:hug:
