:lmao: It says that viewing the torture chamber is optional! Heck, we're going to go see a castle! Don't princesses princess: live in castles? ;)

Not so many "live" ones any more!:rotfl2::lmao::lmao:
We are going on the Molli train with you. That was the one and only excursion I booked. I am sure hoping diy works for us. :dance3:

Thanks for the help. I called DCL and they were able to get us on the Gold Room excursion and the Evening Cruise. I guess when there is less than 2 hours between excursions, you cannot do it online but they can do it for you over the phone.

Very exciting!

Glad it worked out for you. DCL gets to be very frustrating at their reservation's center.

I hope you enjoy the RT room. I wish I could tell you that I have pictures to show you, but pictures are forbidden to be taken in the room. :sad1:

Our guys are renting tuxes and we are all going to take formal pictures.

DH will be renting a tux. He also likes that he doesn't have to bring dress shoes and can wear the pants on other nights as well. He was really happy with the ship rental last time.

Anyone have the formal wear site that DCL uses, handy. I must have it saved somewhere - but where???????

We got all the excursions we wanted plus dinner at Palo. Will try for brunch when we board.

We decided to DIY Tallinn and Stockholm using the TallinnCard and the Stockholm Hop-on Hop-off bus.

Palo dinner on evening 6 (semi formal); Palo brunch on day 11.
We're undecided about trying to rearrange High Tea -- currently we're scheduled for the same day as the brunch which really doesn't work well.

I'd like to be a Viking on this cruise - pirates of the North? pirate:
(Rather than In the Caribbean)
Viking:thumbsup2
Gotta love the helmet:goodvibes

Did they send the info for formal wear out yet?
I'll look for the site-I'm sure I have it somewhere:thumbsup2

How long did it take for you to get the second email? I booked today and got one email immediately, but it said that I would "shortly" get another message with booking information. I'm guessing I need that second one to reserve flight and cruise times as well as my dinner time?

Also, for those with young kids, what else are you thinking of doing in London? I want to take the kids to see the crown jewels at the Tower, but I am not sure what else to do yet. Considering the Diana Memorial Playground at Kensington Gardens, a little shopping/eating at Harrod's, and Madam Tussaud's, but I don't know. We have 3 days there.

:wave2: Good Morning All :wave2:
No WDW report dont want to rub it in too much! except we did go to Prime Time for Dinner last night seeing the waitress make my son finish his green beans priceless (did the airplane bit):lmao:

'Morning

Did the weather improve yesterday over Sunday? We love Prime Time, but we haven't eaten there in a long while, might have to do that this summer. I hope you have pics of DS and the waitress. :rotfl2:

I know this has been posted before, I just don't know where!
What currencies are we going to need for all the countries? I believe Barb suggested having about 50.00 per country for small incidentals that we wouldn't want to use a credit card for, right? I know Anastasia will want crisp, new 50.00 bills for payment!

When this response gets posted I'll add it to the first thread.
Anastasia will also take $100's if that's of any help to you. :upsidedow

England - British pounds
Denmark - Danish krone(r)
Germany - euro
Russia - US$, pounds, euros
Tallin - EEK (local currency), we used US$ and pounds, will also take euros
Norway - local currency
Sweden - local currency

Wow, that's a lot more currencies than we needed on our last Baltics cruise.
We did take about $50 in local currency for each port except StP and London. For StP we used an atm to get rubles. For London, I actually took more currency than was needed but we were wandering with our friends and I didn't shop like I normally do.

Yikes; I hope it works out for you. Let us know what happens after the "investigation". I hope they don't retroactively go in and cancel excursions for those of us that got our stuff booked within the 2 hour window. That would really mess things up.

Well, DCL was supposed to return my call today about booking an evening excursion in STP which is 1h45min after my afternoon excursion. They didn't call back. When I called they said that it is still being investigated by the manager. They told me that DCL representatives have no ability to overide the 120 minutes between excursions. So how is everyone else having this done? The manager even told me that no one has had this done. I said that I "knew" of people who had been successful and once again he wanted to know who. I explained that he shouldn't be asking for information about a 3rd party without their knowledge. I have now been told that I will have a response by tomorrow -ugh!!!

Hi Guys :wave2:

If your looking  for info on Berlin, Tallinn or St. Petersburg, try:

www.inyourpocket.com

It has info and some really good maps. You can download the guide or purchase it. :surfweb: I downloaded and printed what I wanted. The info printed very clean and crisp.

Enjoy!

I got my second email right away:confused3
But I think there has been some delay with regard to Porter's emails of late. We called to make our flight and cruise reservation, but couldn't get through on the phone to Porter's for the dinner. Eventually heard back from Porter's by email, but it took a few days.

Not getting much in the way of feedback from my kids (16 and 13), but for young kids what about the zoo?

Hey!!
Wasn't crazy about the food at Prime Time, but the atmosphere was great!! Loved waiting for someone to ask where the restroom was:laughing:

Great suggestion - already tried to reconfigure everything. It just isn't possible, since the first day is only half a day in STP. Also tried calling to talk to another person at DCL, but no luck.

:headache:This is crazy!!
So sorry you are having such a hard time with them:guilty:
Are you sure you don't want to consider going by private company in St Petersburg?
In fact tell them plenty of us are going by private company because they are so difficult-you can give them my name if you want:flower3::hug:

Which excursion combo are you trying for? Maybe there's something different about that particular combo...

We are using anastasiaworld.com in St. Petersburg. They have been very prompt and flexible. I would suggest that you try to contact them or someone else. You will probably find that a private tour offers much more for your money and the limited time we will have in port. Good luck.

I agree with Cptjackandcrew.
Many of us are going with Anastasia for our St Petersburg tour.

If you are worried about making it back to the ship, maybe only booking them for the first day is the answer:confused3

Or if someone has room on their tour joining theirs for one day:confused3

Hope this works out for you Wonderland Tigger:grouphug:
