Laurie there is no need to get the student cards for your kids, they are better off for college age kids. The majority of places we will be going to offer kids rates for those 15 and under, some are up to age 17.
Last cruise Anastasia was able to get the student pricing for the students without having the card, we all just brought along a report card or student ID in case she did need to see them - was not needed.

I remember you saying Anastasia used their report cards last time
But I was wondering about other places in other ports

Now I could threaten the kids with publicly exposing their reports card to get them to study harder

DH was also saying they obviously look like kids, why would we need ID for them

On a brighter note about the day, my aunt and uncle may join us on our Alaska cruise next summer. I have to get them info on the cruise. My uncle just looked at me with that look of 'you aren't getting me on a big ship in the open water'. Will have to work on him about it.

Still can't get any of my family to come on a cruise with us

English Chips are far far better than French fries, We get our 'chips' at the Fish and chip shop, its a tradition. FF like Mcdonalds cant be compared.

DO do get some when you are here.

Oh I plan to Andrew But I agree in that I don't consider McDonalds to be really good french fries. I used to work in the dining center when I was in college and one semester I had a shift making the french fries-they were crinkle cut fries and sooooooooo good if I managed to cook them properly


Now, its less than 24 hours since my last post, and you all think I am AWOL, I am touched, that I am missed so so much, but I do have a job and parental commitments, DD at guides Mondays, DS at Scouts on Wednesdays, and they need to be dropped off and collected.
Yes I kind of assumed you had to be doing something to pay for this trip

UK will have some good news soon, Europe has sorted out Greece now.

Changed my StP, booking to an early start on Sunday, to get more in now.

PS Was in Central London and Heathrow today and boy is it busy busy busy with tourists, the old Piccadilly line was popular. So much luggage!!!

Firstly we have made up about twenty photo magnets so far, a bit too many, but they are all prepared and we can work them on rotation. I saw the recent request and liked it so asked for one myself, hope you do not mind. Do put your stateroom number on them as people take them or kids move them onto other doors, we have found ours down the hall before.

Shore trips are really 'all set' we do not have much space. Our time is fully allocated, with the exception of Copenhagen where we have an afternoon free. Hope after lunch on ship we can go for a walk, shopping etc.

All other ports are shore trips start as the ship docks and ends within 30 mins of all aboard, so no DIY.

StP, I have extended my Sunday now to start before 8am, and get early entry. That's a long day with a on the go lunch break, to 7.30pm.

But on Thursday 1st, it will be raining cats and dogs.

But we are on for a very hot summer in July and August.....

Don't mind at all you asking for the same door magnet...in fact...
I actually felt a bit guilty that I had not made the effort to post the links to the signs on this thread before
So much easier than trying to make them on your own and they make your door so much easier to find too.

Since I'm still kind of hoping we might be able to upgrade at the port I don't want my cabin number incorportated into the magnet. I'll put it on a sticker or something later after we arrive Worse case scenario if they get stolen I have the pictures on my home computer

Not finished yet with our planning-doing it little by little.
I was worried about trying to start the second day of St Pete too early-especially for my kids. They are not early morning people

I got a few as Christmas presents and then I got Rick Steve's new one when it came out.

I have a organizer/folder thing that I used for our PC repo cruise to organize the mountain of paper I inevitably accumulate with all the planning. Really helps as I am so ADD- I always seem to forget something


Gotta try and get an East coast DIS meet set up this spring/summer It would be fun to meet up ahead of time
