OSLO

Started reading up on things, always dangerous, but on Oslo, our port times are 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Now Oslo is 50 miles up Oslofjord, (80 km have to post that for EU Rules;) ),so presume a day to get up early and watch the views as we arrive, should be rather spectacular. And also worth room service and verandah time at 4.30pm on exit. Even at normal cruising speed that must be two hours each way, and presume it must actually slow down at least at the Oslo part of it, if not all of it.

Andrew - did you see the DR Who xmas teaser on Children in Need? For our US friends if you can access our iplayer you may be able to see it, failing that I'm sure it won't be long before some-one gets it onto you tube

Quiet night in as DH has driven eldest DD & niece to the Jonas Brothers at Wembley Arena

Oh Yes watched that, looks like the old Doc is going a little mad himself, before meeting the psychotic Master. As it was for CIN, I am not sure if they will put it on I Player but anyway, two weeks until the Christmas Radio times is out, so Christmas is coming....

End of time.part one should be on Christmas Day, with part two said to be on New Years eve,

I wish it was a good Sunday - wet & windy here. I've also got to sort out Lauren's costume for the xmas play - a tudor lady in waiting. The school kindly provided a sketch of what they want obviously assuming I'm some sort of seamstress (which I'm definitely not) so off to hobby craft to buy some brocade stuff for the bodice! On the up side this time next week I'll be at Gatwick waiting to board the plane to Orlando:banana:

Yes we got it about 30 mins ago, I wanted to go out for my Sunday walk and thats delayed. Schools and Girl Guides and scouts are like that, no notice, this is what we want and expect it quickly, and there is parent pressure to ensure your kids are the best, not the worst on display. Its difficult. And notice of funds, school trip France next year, if you want to go pay £250 in a week.

Enjoy Florida.

Have a great day everyone. About 50 degrees and Sunny here in NJ today.

Haven't been on here much, but I know my DD's have been on the kids board a few times and e-mailing some other kids from the cruise.

Talk to you all again soon.

morning

as i am behind, congrats or sending good thoughts

Kara is in final mode - her last one is Tues and she is all registered for next qtr - at least we have until 12/12 to pay fees - none of her books this qtr they are buying back - darn it - she can pick up her new books sometime after 12/01

sunshine here but a brisk 34 degrees

At least we have notice of the £230 (max) with nothing to pay until January & can then pay in instalments. THis is the only time I can remember being given notice!

Dress is now complete & in the washing machine - not a winner at London fashion week, but will suffice for the play!

One thing I have learnt over the years with kids, do not allocate 'cash' to anything in November or December, as you will be hit with so any can I say 'requests' on your money, school, trips, collections charities, Scouts, Guides, everyone decides now is the time they want your cash.

Guides have DLP in January, and School is gonig there July, DS School gonig to France in July as well.

I know your kids are older, but Lauren has to make do with Wales - assuming it wasn't washed away over the last few days!
