I was just looking at the first post here and looking over names of cruisers. We sure have a lot of people who haven't posted in a LONG while!
When did Tina (Downrivermama) and daughter cancel?

A few weeks ago . . . she PM'd me with the request to remove her from the list.

I will be expecting to see nekked ears of corn. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

That will be ears of corn without the husks.

Glad you clarified that - otherwise I might have had to go find some of the people that wear the stupid corn things on their heads to the football games.

Andrew just leave a key under your door mat so we can all help ourselves to the Tesco stocked bar in your cabin. :rotfl2:

I'll get the name of the wine I am thinking of and let you know.
My friends live in Christchurch and I'm not sure which category of stores they have down there. I 'talk' to you on here much more than I do them via email so I thought I would ask you first. :thumbsup2
Robert, too funny that you popped in while we were in the middle of a booze conversation. :drinking1

Now you of all people know I cant leave a 'key' under my cabin door mat, as its a CARD!!;) But I am sure the booze hounds here, will be able to sniff out the booze in my room.

My bet central Christchurch will have at least three big supermarkets of a large size, one of Tesco, Sainsburys, and either Marks or Asda.

We had our supermarkets graded, the big ones like Tesco Extra will have any wine bottle under the sun, the smaller ones will have a limited supply.

But I am sure you will find one which stocks your wine, let me know and I will check.

:drinking1:goodvibesGood Morning All! hic!:goodvibes:drinking: :drinking1

Evening hic hic hic....:woohoo:

NOW how about this for poor customer service.....

We ordered quite a few books from a well known international online book seller, cant say its name, but think of a very long, River in South America,

Now these were presents etc for Christmas and also some Baltic cruise books and port guides for me.

When they were delivered we were not in, so it was chucked over the side gate, into the garden, in the rain, and the big large ones were all damaged!!!

My ones are OK!

Anyway, sending them back and after replacements!

PS They didnt use Royal mail but their own delivery service.

Tsk Tsk Tsk you mean that the current government has cut the royals stipend back so much that they are having to deliver mail now?:lmao::thumbsup2;):rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

Royal mail workers have been on various strikes of late, so many organizations have been making alternative arrangements to bypass the RM. Currently they have suspended action and in negotiations.

I don't have a side gate to throw things over, but fortunately have keen neighbourhood watch type neighbours who will accost the poor deliver person - or maybe they're just after the company! I am seriously considering when best to post xmas cards for foreign destinations - not too early, not too late, not so close to strike day it gets caught in the backlog.....

Yes we have plenty of neighbours that they could have given it to, but the guy / girl though chucking it over the garden gate on a rainy day, was a great idea!!

We have had neighbours intervene in fact I recall my DCL tickets were nearly going back to UPS, when a neighbour intervened, and they gave them back to me!!!

We have a bit of a drama in my family right now...

Remember that wedding in Brazil I went to back in August?

Well it was a vow renewal for my brother and his Brazilian wife. Just found out the marriage is over...she is leaving him for her boyfriend....and it is looking like the marriage was intended to get her a green card as May was the 3 year mark needed for citizenship:headache:

My brother is heart broken:sad2:

My sister and I are furious:mad:

My Mom and other sister relieved that she is gone..

Anyway I'm posting this here for a few reasons...one as a warning to others...another to vent a bit ...and also to see if anyone has ideas or advice:confused3

I'm so tempted to write her parents and let them know the true story as I'm sure she has fabricated something to avoid anyone judging her harshly.

She really fooled us big time:sad2:

What a horrible person. I hope your brother recovers soon. How awful to be used like that.:sad2:

I know family #24 on the front page, the Drexels are still coming on the cruise. Janey and I play bunco together and we were just talking last Tuesday that they are almost paid. She just very busy and not on the computer much.

Wow, it was actually hard to find our thread! Good morning, everyone!:cheer2:

Good morning Belle.

Quick question about the kids thread. Does anyone in here have kids that will be in the 6-7 group?

Our DD is 6 (will turn 7 on the last day of the cruise) but we didn't join the kids thread because she can't read/write that well yet.

I wouldn't worry too much, my Son started on kids threads quite a while back, and its firstly brought on his English, shown him how to type, and if there is an issue, Mum and Dad can help.

My son loves the 'smiles', to add.

'Evening all

I've got Mike's list, listed below are the remaining cruisers:

Julie (bellelinus)
Laura & Steve (eeyorelover)
LaTanya (disneyjunkie)
Henry & Brenda (hawaiianmickey)
Greg & Betsy (grimgrinningghost)

I have the remaining 6 spots for us, our friends and family.

I'll PM the last 3 people to see if they are still cruising and/or wish to remain on the brunch list.

Caro & Andrew I think you'll have to track down who's list you are/were on to make sure they are still cruising.

I have one daughter that is 7 now but will be 8 on the cruise, the older one is (and still will be) 10.

They are on that kids thread under my name.

Hmmmm, I did a search of the 1st thread and it looks like "maybe" it was Izzi that organized the other brunch group. Does anyone know for sure? I'll take it over if that's the case. I just don't know how to. Barb, how did you handle it?
