Wonder if you are getting fallout from hurricane Ida and that caused our nor'easter? If so it's a nasty, nasty storm here. We still have the rain and wind from it.

I see you didn't get blown away and neither did Julie. I guess it didn't go that far north which is very good for you.

Often your 'storms' then hit us a few days later, they come across from the Jet stream, this is an Atlantic one, and is here now and from now on will get worse.

Now if the rumours are right there's another storm brewing, and its going to blow at least one ship off course, maybe all the way back to Florida!!!

Hey you 2 I can read your conversation. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
How much Guinness do they serve at the pub? Oh wait, it's English Guinness and it's not as good as what you get in Ireland. :drinking1 But I'd give it another shot to see if I like it or not.

Look, its far better over here, thats why so many Irish people come to England.

Guinness, is in every pub here, I bet we even make it!!!!

Now

At lunchtime, I went to have a bit of food.

I asked if I could have the Ploughman's lunch.

Boy was he annoyed!!

You could share the wealth with the rest of us and help pay for this cruise. :rotfl2: :confused3 :lmao: :dance3: :rotfl:

:scared1:

Ask Robert, :lmao:

whilst I am paid in full on this one, and expect my deposit back on my other one, I am sure it will be reinvested, I save the liability of $19k but only paid $3,200 on that so far.

Now in theory thats a non refundable deposit, but surly they couldn't hold me to non refundable in these circumstances??

Now should I consider, Alaska, Dream, 5 night, B2B, or the extra 7 night ones in the Caribbean?? Or go with Robert???

I would hope all non-refundable deposits would be refunded in certain circumstances, especially this one.
Go with Robert, isn't he doing something sailing out of Europe? Save the airfare to the US. Or you could do a Dream and a 7 night one that will be added, but that might be really $$$$$.

My suggestion would be either Alaska or a B2B on the Dream . . .go for something new:goodvibes

But the Guinness in Dublin is so much better than anywhere else. :drinking1 :drinking 1

The nerve of you ordering food at lunchtime at a pub, you should have ordered a Guinness. yum...Ploughman's lunch

DREAM 5 night in August 2nd_7th was approx $6k, two stops CC, consider that, against $19k? That's a 4, I cannot see a point of concierge for a 3/4/5 night, no need on shore trips, its just an expensive way of getting palo.

But yes save airfare, we did want to moved away from USA holidays re long flights, and done it seen it, but its what is offered?

My guess nothing!!

Well some people think Guinness is lunch, Its one of thoose things Guinness tastes better in Dublin, Pizza tastes better in Rome or Naples, and Fish and Chips taste better in newspaper in Southend on sea!!

Caro & Andrew & family and our family is doing the 8/9 Alaska.

I had a working plan on that in September and instructed a TA, the plan was:-

New York, Canadian rail journey, then Alaska cruise, but I am disappointed with the Wonder route, they should have made it better than that, and the Tuesday departure, but never say never, if they offer it for free!!!:rotfl:

FIRSTLY upgraded weather......

We have 80 mph wins tonight!!!!!!!! In London!!!!:scared1:

Dream B2B possible, Alaska think about it, but I think it would be another cruise line.

Maybe, its telling me something, time for a change?!?

:scared1::scared1: Whoa...our's haven't been that bad. Don't blow away.
Hope our friends don't be blown away down along the coast.

You could do B2B 1 way Alaskan cruises on a different line. That would still be cheaper than your DCL cruise would have been.

The South coast is the worst hit, seen it on our TV, places like Portsmouth, its being upgraded all the time. The worst will be over by 3pm Saturday.

Water table is high re recent bad weather so that will cause floods.

Its the not knowing what options there are, I presume now they will not hit this, and make it public this weekend when TA's are not around, not that there will be a flood of enquires, but it will just not be professional. So assume we will see the official announcement on Monday?? Is there any news they can bury it with???

Our friends are in Christchurch so I guess it will be bad for them.
We are supposed to go to a wedding reception tomorrow and as of last night the area roads were closed due to flooding. My brother is supposed to look into the road situation for us again tonight. But the real problem is that there are still 2 more high tides to go thru, tonight and in the morning, and they are to be the worst one yet.
I'm just glad we don't have the beachhouse any more to worry about.

Can't think of any news to come out that they could bury it in. :rotfl2:

Hope the weather improves for you, I remember our 'hurricane' we had before, all tress up-routed all transport stopped, they are increasing alerts, and I can here the wind here, around our roof. London, being inland doesnt usually get it as such, but look like we are this time.

Now they could always release more details of the DREAM, like the second Adult only restaurant rumoured to be Remy's, but so soon after the last release?!?, but there will be SPIN and lots of it......

You've mentioned the Tuesday departure before, out of curiousity what's wrong with them?

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I had to read this 3 times to see that I was reading it correctly for a 4 day cruise. That's totally insane!
Please tell me you politely told them 'no thanks'. I don't think you are that crazy. :hippie:
