Firstly Miami is nice, have to go back there soon, enjoy.

Secondly been nice we have started planning for next year, and all the contributions, My mind has been on 2009, so much to organize for that, but i think I am there on that one now, nothing else to do.

As we get to the one year pre cruise mark, I think thats an important milestone and as we have our summer vacations, our minds will focus more on 2010. Hotels start to open up reservations for 12 months in advance so we will move into that window.

For me there is far less planning for 2010, no flights, no hotels abroad, but I will organize some shore trips for this cruise.

I think later this year say November DCL will send out a DVD for the Baltic, ports of call, information on currencies etc, and shore trips, I think there will be high cost as they know these will be popular.
One of these years, I'm moving to Miami.............I love it there!!! :goodvibesWe just got home and I have school tomorrow, so wish me luck!

We're also in the throes of trip planning for 2009......it's finally right around the corner!!:dance3:

Yes right to the bar at the Quiet Cove Pool!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Just put your name in you might still make the first bus, but if not I am sure you will be on the second!

Same to you!:)

I have a bicycle if that helps????:confused3

Now that is a funny mental picture JoJo Bicycling to Dover with a luggage and a case of libations strapped to the back of the bike!:moped::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

Well I offered to help! :confused3

;)

And believe me JoJo needs your help!:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

No problem - I've added you to the list for the ballyhoo bus(es).

Celestine
Finally the voice of reason amidst the insanity! Thank you!!!

Now, for you other two.........there I was clinging to the last of the Miami sun, shopping in Miami malls and flying home dodging rain drops and storms.......AND THIS IS WHAT I COME HOME TO??

In case you were wondering.......WE HAD A BLAST.........We stayed at the Fontainebleau and before the end of the day, several NFL players, NBA players, Chris Brown and Mario were at our hotel literally a few steps away! Such a cool place, so much fun, very posh! :cheer2:

Yeah, and her husband is only a sargeant! But my husband doesn't like family friction. He will probably let them do what ever.

A police chief who does not like conflict:confused:

Common now tell him to suck it up!:thumbsup2

I used to hang around the Fontainebleu when I was a kid, I would go skating there and they used to have a carnival during the winter with rides! It was good to be a kid!:thumbsup2

My family had an apartment down the street at 5001 Collins Ave life was good when I was a kid!:sad1:

I stayed at the Fountainbleu many moons ago and loved it there. I thought it was the coolest place. It was strange to see all the construction going on there 1½ years ago, but I've seen pics of it since it's done and it looks really, really nice now.

I do know, I just wish we wouldn't have gotten a TA involved. My bil probably doesn't mind spending the extra money as long as everything is easy.
But do you mind spending the extra money? Just because she's using a TA doesn't mean you have to use her suggestions and plans. You'll have to let us know what she comes up with your transfers and such and we'll give you our opinions, if you don't mind.

Who's the older sibling?

I really hope you are going to have lots of input into this trip. There's so many different things to do in each port and each family may not want to do the same things all the time. Please do your own research so you can have lots of say in the matter.

Ok, off my soapbox now. Back to happy talk.

Small world........it is ENORMOUS! It was kinda like going to the Atlantis in that it is so spread out. It's all about the cabanas and round mattress reservations. You couldn't get a normal lounger unless you were up really early. Nuts! It reminded me of Deck 9 on sea days!

It was nice to see old Miami refurbished and I got an amazing deal in order to go there.......at school, severe jet lag (speak of the devil.):scared1:

I'm back from taking my Mini in for service again. I told my service advisor they better get the sunroof fixed right this time and I have to have the car back from Friday done correctly. The worst part is that it's an issue that Mini is aware of - sunroof not working properly when it sits in the hot sun. I definately need this fixed since I've been dealing with it for well over a year. :headache:

Good luck I have a 2007 BMW X5 (same company) with the funky sunroof and I still have trouble closing it from the vent position!:headache:

Never could get it fixed right by the dealer it works right for a while and then I have to play with it!
:headache:

Sounds like a common problem!:headache:

My Mini is also a 2007. Sounds like the sunroof problems are with the 2007 and 2008 years. When it gets hot out and the sun is beating down on it, it either won't open up or when it does it promptly goes back down and then up again - like it's possessed. Their first trick it to use a special lube on it to see if that fixes the problem - of course it didn't. The next step is to replace the cassette that is in the sunroof, which they better be doing this time around. My friend has a 2008 Mini and her dealer replaced the cassette on her's and now it works fine. When I told my SA about the cassette being replaced he looked very surprised that I knew about that as a fix and said they have to try the lube first. Well, when I called again last week to tell him I needed to bring it in, I told him the part better get here quickly and not take a week like my friend's did.

You might want to ask your dealer if it's the same sort of problem and if they are doing to same type of 'repairs' for your's. They certainly aren't letting people know of this problem and that there is a fix for it. I just happen to be one of the one's that like to quiet pitch a fit when a car repair doesn't get done and will keep taking it back until it's done right.

I hate car dealers!!! :sad2:

No it's a big brother that doesn't like conflict. That is his biggest flaw. We come second after his precious brother and his wife.:confused3

Then let the precious bro and sis-in-law take care of his cruise plans and you plan your's and Madison's. Problem solved! :upsidedow  :rotfl2:

I will only hold back so much. Bob can be miserable with them, or miserable with me. But since he and I are sharing a room, that can be a whole lot of miserable!:rotfl: This is my vacation too and you can believe I will be seeing what I want to see. This is too much money to spend and not have a great time because we are going together. We may run into some whiney kids if they are heading in different directions though.:sad2:

By whiney kids, I take it you mean whiney BIG kids?
I'm glad you will stand your ground when needed. But I also know about who's cabin you are sharing. At least there are lots of bars on the ship to help ease the pains, or get away from the whiney's. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
