By whiney kids, I take it you mean whiney BIG kids?
I'm glad you will stand your ground when needed. But I also know about who's cabin you are sharing. At least there are lots of bars on the ship to help ease the pains, or get away from the whiney's. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I meant the girls. Madison will be 8 and their girls will be 8 and 10. Bob and Randy are so looking forward to having this vacation together. I just have to think positive that all will be good.
As for the bars, I just found out about this new and exciting medical problem I have that I can no longer drink. Not like I was a drinker or anything, but the occassional glass of wine or foofoo drink was enjoyable. I quess you might every now and then just see me banging my head against a wall.:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao::confused:

London Hotel rooms for large familys

Try www.sleeps5.com or www.roomfor5.co.uk
Both these sites have London hotels with rooms for family's other than the conventional 2+2. Some of the suggestions are hostels, i.e you are in a dormitory, so read the small print carefully!

For those only after singles, doubles or a family room for 4, the best deals at places like Travelodge & Premierinn can be found as soon as they go on sale 12 months out, so you'll need to start looking in a couple of months, or risk paying full rack rate, e.g. travelodge saver rooms are £19/night compared to £65+ rack rate.

Tourist info.
Killed a small rainforest today when I swung by the tourist info. centre at Piccadilly. If anyone would like Visit London guides etc. PM me & I'll send them snail mail

With regards to holidaying with sil's....never ever again - she hit me one night & only now (2 years after the event) are we on talking terms of sorts. As for my own sister - DH would kill me if I even suggested it:rotfl:

How about my family of 6?

Coach from London

Ok, DH has priced a coach - if there are 40 of us it works out at £10/head & you'll be collected from your hotel on or about 9am. The drivers all speak English (not necessarily recognisable English dependent on dialect!) & as they are a Kent based firm know exactly where the cruise terminal is. These coaches are good quality & we're angling for a freebie upgrade to a VIP coach which has tabled seating areas etc. If we want to pay to guarantee the upgrade, the cost is more like £15/head. Our party can take 8 of those seats, so we are looking at another 32 of you Ballyhooer's to join us.

DH is happy to organise a coach back to Heathrow if anyone is interested, but it depends upon everyone's plans.

PM me or post here so I can start to guage potential interest & we can go from there

Celestine

Celestine,

I sent you a PM. We definately would like to be on the list. Thanks.

I guess 1 of you gets to stay home. :rotfl: :headache: :lmao: :dance3: :rotfl2: :rolleyes1

No I have a better idea!

I will let one of my kids bunk with you & yours! :grouphug:

Which one do you want my 16 year old DS or 5 year old DD?:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing::banana::cool1: :woohoo: :yay::rolleyes1

We'll take the 5 yo DD. Dont' want the DS around my DD who will be 16 next summer. Oh yeah, she also said we'll take the 5yo. Sounds like you've found yourself a sitter for the cruise and for next month.

Hey my DS will be 17 next summer!;)

The Harvard Hockey coach Ted Donnato has been checking him out lately!:woohoo:

Now DD is offering to be a tour guide but I don't know for where. She just said for Disney, and it's for the whole family. She only charges her meals and Mickey bars for her guides.

I am talking about London!:woohoo:

Ok? I think we really need to keep them separated. :headache: :upsidedow :scared:

Very cool on the Harvard coach, but DD said she doesn't like hockey. :confused3 No clue on that one, I watch it.

I guess I'll be Robert this morning.

Good Tuesday Morning

Looks like it's going to be a wet one here today.

Okay then I will be Barb please keep your DD away from my DS!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

playing ketchup here...

Yeah, and her husband is only a sargeant! But my husband doesn't like family friction. He will probably let them do what ever.
Just like my DH
He hates the drama...his family has had quite a few family feuds over the years and he avoids it all as much as possible.

In case you were wondering.......WE HAD A BLAST.........We stayed at the Fontainebleau and before the end of the day, several NFL players, NBA players, Chris Brown and Mario were at our hotel literally a few steps away! Such a cool place, so much fun, very posh!
:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

Now you have dropped out of being top of the wailist on my bike, I will offer it to boarding card no 2, ( 3 get ready if 2 says no):)
:rotfl:

Then let the precious bro and sis-in-law take care of his cruise plans and you plan your's and Madison's. Problem solved! :upsidedow  :rotfl2:
:thumbsup2

I will only hold back so much. Bob can be miserable with them, or miserable with me. But since he and I are sharing a room, that can be a whole lot of miserable!:rotfl: This is my vacation too and you can believe I will be seeing what I want to see. This is too much money to spend and not have a great time because we are going together. We may run into some whiney kids if they are heading in different directions though.:sad2:
Don't let the resentment build up too much -I speak from experience:headache:
Pick your battles-appear to compromise and go along with things that don't matter to you and then stick to your guns on the important stuff.
Yeah I know easier said than done:hug:
I would try to insist that you really like the planning part of your vacations and try to coordinate your plans with your Inlaws as much as possible without sacrificing your mustdos:confused3

I meant the girls. Madison will be 8 and their girls will be 8 and 10. Bob and Randy are so looking forward to having this vacation together. I just have to think positive that all will be good.

My DH isn't suppose to drink anymore either due to a medical condition. Funny how he didn't drink much before but as soon as someone tells you you can't-he misses it:confused3

Thanks for the hotel info:thumbsup2

I think 2 years after someone hit you is not a long time:headache:

I get along ok with one of my sil and the other one is so out of touch with reality she's scary:scared:
Same with my sisters- one I'm good with the other drives me nuts:rolleyes:

Actually the nice thing about a cruise is that a family can each go their own way and then meet up for dinner:confused3
We haven't been able to get family to go with us on a cruise yet-that may not be a bad thing:rolleyes1

mmmm
got a question for anyone with a dog.

We used to use frontline on our dog for flea protection, but the last time we applied it she had a weird reaction (running around in circles and shaking)- the reaction stopped when we washed it off.
The vet says just to try some other product as they always recommend frontline and don't know of any other that is as safe:headache:

Anybody use something other than frontline on their dog:confused3
