I understood they were going to show it, nearly the same time as us, maybe a day later. It then may get a repeat on SciFi

I might have missed it -- maybe it showed while I was traveling home or the first few days when trying to unpack -- I looked and for the next week the only Torchwood I saw on BBCA was from 2008 . . .

I am sure I read the USA premier was nearly the same time as us.

I was just informed by DMiL that next year's cruise will be our last Disney cruise as the kids will be too old for DCL after that:headache:
DH and I did a double-take:scared1:
What on God's green earth does she think we are doing going on DCL just the 2 of us:rolleyes:
And she doesn't pose it like a question, she makes it a statement as if we have no say in the matter.
Yes, we set her straight:teacher:

I'm sooooo glad we are leaving in a few hours-she's driving me nuts:laughing:

Just as I was giving up on convinving DH to try for a cat. 3, I mentioned that he might want to check and see how much they are when booked in advanced. That convinced him that the upgrade at the port was a great deal. So we are going to try for it-hopefully we will get there in time with the transfers from the MCO Hyatt.

I'm thinking of just telling everyone that you said hello;)
That way I'll be sure not to miss anyone:laughing:

I'll be back next Thursday:cool1:

Smart thinking on your part. Good luck on getting an upgrade.

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: You aren't too far off on saying hi to everyone for us. Many of the officers knew us since we had taken a pic from 10 years ago to show off - that person was a server and is now an officer.

WHAT?!?!?!? What is wrong with this woman? :confused3

I thought we were doing an early dinner after the matinee? I will have to check with Helen and everyone to confirm, and also who is coming (I know Helen and Dave, you two, and JoAnn and DH . . . then, including me is that just 7 for the reservation???)

OOPS! It is dinner (not lunch) :upsidedow. Sorry. I guess it will be 7 as Sallie will be away.

Some people just don't get it. We only went on one DCL cruise with our kids (and they were both old enough to eat in Palos). Anyone who knows about cruising, knows that DCL cruises are top of the line. 'Nuf said! Enjoy!!!! :yay:

Just booked our hotel for 2 nights pre-cruise. Booked the Park Plaza Victoria London in an Executive room which includes breakfast each morning and snacks during the day. With VAT it came to £155.00/night or so. They had a Superior room at a AAA rate of £113.00/night or a Superior room with breakfast for about £136.00/night - both of those rates included VAT. Just thought I would go for the Executive level room for a change.

I'll keep watching to see if the rates change since I have until check-in day to cancel.

I'm sailing with two of my DDs this summer.......they are 19 & 25! We've sailed other lines but their favorite is DCL! No worries!!! It's nice when they can participate in all the adult activities with you and you can enjoy watching them in the skits, etc. at Rockin Bar D!!!

Did you book online?

What type of discount did you get?

I am still debating on the number of nights if I get the DVC booking at the Allen House I would fly in the Saturday 1 week early if not I would probably shorten the stay to by a day or 2!:confused3

I just realized that if I stay with DVC at the Allen House I would be flying to London in 1 year from today!:cool1::banana::yay::dance3:

We stayed at the same hotel last year and loved the location. We take the tube into the city from the airport and we only have to make 1 change which isn't that bad.

Yes I did book online thru the goldpointsplus.com website - Radisson's rewards website. I would say the only discount I got was an early booking discount since I just picked a date for this summer and it's coming in about £30/night higher. They offer AAA rates, but they don't include breakfast and the rate to add b'fast isn't that much more and it's much cheaper than buying b'fast on our own.

Also, this rate is totally refundable should I find a different hotel or a better rate. I figured I'm better off finding a hotel now with a rate I'm happy with and having the flexibility of still looking, than to be stuck with a hotel and/or rate I'm not happy with closer to sailing.

If coming into Heathrow 1/2/3/4/5 you can take the Piccadilly line to Hammersmith, (or Barons court)then walk over to the District line, (same platform other side), and then go to Victoria, there are other routes but they all include escalators, or lifts or lots of steps, ie going via Green park and Victoria line.

The Piccadilly line is oboveground to Hammersmoth and Barons court, then takes a dive underground into deep tubes, the District line is a cut and cover line so only subsurface.

That is what we do, but thanks for the reminder. Although last summer with the tube construction/station closures going on during the weekends we had a harder time getting into the city.

Yes we are having a lot of major engineering works at weekends, with line closures, its best to check the TFL website about a month before travel.

Hey JoAnn and Mary Ann;

Check our Med cruise thread for more details about our get together with Helen -- I made reservations at Tavern on the Green for after our matinee . . .

Hi Julie, Nice to see you made it home safely!

Thanks to everybody for the kind words about passing my law exam. Hopefully this week I'll have some more good news to share. Fingers crossed...
