I just wanted to thank everyone for their concern for Linda. They found and removed some polyps from her stomach. Preliminary testing looks good, so we're very grateful for that. we're just hoping that they figure out what's causing her issues in the first place.

Welcome to my world........although, it's really snowing right now.....can we say "delayed opening?"

In the last half hour it has really started snowing and sticking on the road, ground and cars. But it's really funny looking, it looks like someone is having a huge down pillow fight over our house since the flakes are so big and swirling everywhere.

I'm hoping for regular start time for school since DD gets out 2 hours early.

Unless U R going 2 book 1 way it is eleven months after your last flight segment.

So if U R going to fly back right after the cruise I would say Spetember 1st or 2nd.

331 days out, so basically that would be 11 months before. Just remember, that would be 11 months before your return flight!

Okay now for the most embarassing earthquake story. I figure we will be sharing almost two weeks together, you might as well know the worst!
The Whittier earthquake was also quite large and we lived about 15 to 20 miles away. I was in the bathroom, not showering or putting on make-up when the earthquake hit. All 3 of my children came running in sat on the floor holding on to my legs. It was a LONG shake. And there I was, with my three kids holding my legs, and me praying, please Lord don't let me die like this! The shaking stopped, all 3 kids get up as if nothing happened and all they say is (eewww Mom!!)

Kind of reminds me of that thunderstorm scene in the sound of music-but with a twist

Wait, let's discuss this as MATURE adults. I'm talking about earthquakes. I hate earthquakes and they scare me so much that I can't move or go where I should. This still isn't going to come out right is it?

Definately better quit while you are ahead.

Thank you for your responses to the seven questions and the 'odd' question on weaher, so we have a Tornado now. Did read them but will not quote as they will make a long post.

Now anyone in a EARTHQUAKE? real one not the Universal ride???

All too many, including Loma Prieta.

I didn't write it down because earthquakes aren't weather.

How do we know this?

Weather is defined as that state of the world that forecasters can consistently get wrong (note the recent reports on economic "storms").

Earthquakes have not yet reached the point where anyone has the guts to forecast them (at least not in front of a green screen on your local TV station). Therefore, they are not weather.

Reminds me in part of when the boys were younger and they used to cuddle my legs and then in the way that young kids do i.e with no subtlety at all !!! told me that I really need to get to the beauty salon and have my legs "made nice "
