We had lots of snow falling today, but absolutely nothing to show for it but wet roads and sidewalks. It was very weird. :confused3

Welcome to my world........although, it's really snowing right now.....can we say "delayed opening?":confused3

In the last half hour it has really started snowing and sticking on the road, ground and cars. But it's really funny looking, it looks like someone is having a huge down pillow fight over our house since the flakes are so big and swirling everywhere. :crazy2: :faint:

I'm hoping for regular start time for school since DD gets out 2 hours early. :thumbsup2

Love this kind of snow!!:thumbsup2

The snowy weather is due to make a return here as well :crazy2: :crazy2: It's a little vauge on the detail at the moment but it's supposed to be snow/rain tonight and getting very cold again and then snow and getting very cold on Thursday night. This batch is coming up from Europe as opposed to the lot that hit on Monday that came from Russia. Not sure how London will fair but I'm hoping that it won't be as bad as ealier this week.

Josh made me laugh this morning, after looking out the back doors he announces that "snow is fun when you're younger but I'm fed up with the cold now I want it to get warmer" There speaks someone at the ripe old age of 12 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OMG...you live with the wise 'old one'. Too funny the 12yo says that. :rotfl2:

Hopefully you won't get anymore snow or at least any that sticks. Just remember about all the global warming talk. :confused3 :crazy2: :scratchin

We woke up to about 1-2 inches on the ground, but the roads were clear. So school was on time. :thumbsup2

Izzi, how did the au pair make out yesterday having the boys all day? :scratchin :upsidedow

:thumbsup2 Delayed opening!!:cheer2: We got more than predicted, the roads aren't really clear but we came in an hour late and the students will be in two hours late. Ok, now, back to work!

OMG he is THICK !!! I rang Josh at 2:15 for a chat and during the conversation asked him what he'd had for lunch. His reply was "nothing, Ray hasn't made us anything" :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Now don't get me wrong both boys are old enough and ugly enough to know to ask Ray for lunch, BUT as the responsible adult he should have asked them at lunchtime if they were hungry and if not at mid day then asked again a litlle while later and by 1:30 insisted that lunchtime was now and made them something. I'm not talking a gourmet meal here but a sandwich or a tin of soup would have been fine !!!

Sometimes I seriously wonder where these "adults" brain are. I guarantee he looked after his own stomach at lunchtime. Is it really necessary to spell out everything in minute detail on what to do when one of the primary reasons of his employment is to look after the kids :crazy2: :faint: :sad2:  :rolleyes1

Oh Izzie, you sound like me:lmao:
Except that's one of my complaints about my DH:rolleyes:
I need to eat on a regular schedule or I get irritable. My DH can go hours without eating:confused3
So if I leave the kids with him for an afternoon I have to remind them to ask him for lunch or he won't remember to feed them:scared:
When I complain, he says they're old enough to ask him if they're hungry. The thing is they get busy too and then ask for lunch at 2:00 and then are not hungry at dinner time and I hate eating dinner late.
I finally decided on weekends that we have a big late breakfast, mid-day snack and an early dinner. Seems to work for us:confused3

I sometimes call my DH my 3rd child;)

Sorry. :grouphug: Does he get them lunch when they are home during school breaks? If so then yesterday shouldn't have been any different. :confused3

Yes he does and that is exactly my point. I am sooooo glad that someone else can see it my way, and I'm not just been a mean, intolerant fishwife :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

Oh, just wait until he's a teenager. He won't bother to ask for lunch - he'll just eat everything in sight (hide the cat). He'll call saying there's nothing to eat at home, despite the fact that you just spent a fortune on groceries the day before - then you'll get home and find out that indeed, there's nothing to eat at home. He's already gotten to it. When he's not hungry for lunch it will only because he stuffed himself already at 10, 10:30, 11 and 11:30. :stir:

Sorry Iz, sounds frustrating! Dead tired here, we had a delay and it felt like two days before it was over!:confused3 I liked the "hide the cat" comment Dan............:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good evening everyone! I'm tired tonight. I worked 2 hours of overtime today. Came home for about 1/2 hour and then had to bring Alana to her group practice and Kathryn to dance class. I'm sitting at Kathryn's class right now. After this it will be bck to pick Alana up and then have some dinner. :faint:
