Evening all,

Thank you for your responses to the seven questions and the 'odd' question on weaher, so we have a Tornado now. Did read them but will not quote as they will make a long post.

Now anyone in a EARTHQUAKE? real one not the Universal ride???
Since I lived in southern California for 24 years, I've been through MANY earthquakes plus my fair share up here in Seattle!
The 2 I remember the most are the Northridge quake http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northridge_earthquake because I was 7 months pregnant with Alana. We had a waterbed at the time. Somehow or another, I managed to fly out of that bed and into the doorway!
The other one is the Nisqually quake http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nisqually_earthquake
I was working on the 2nd floor of an older building at Boeing and that thing shook! Most of our factory building are made out of metal, so it was very noisy! IIRC, the building was closed for a couple days due to some damage.

Don't worry, he gets his share of abuse from me too!

Good thing we both gave the same info!

:offtopic: The following reply is rated PG13 Disser's with weak constitutions should skip to the next post!:hyper:

:scared: I did a photobook thru shutterfly or one of those sites and it took me almost 3 hours to do a 20 page book. I had no clue it would have taken me so long. But in the end it was so worth it. ::yes::
We did a photobook of my daughter's wedding and it came out great too. Lots of fun!:)

Glad you made it to work safely Izzie. I am sure by the time I ketchup you will be home already!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Northridge was a big one. A ton of damage. I was at a quilt show at the Burbank convention center when a large aftershock hit. They had massive chandeliers swaying like you wouldn't believe and people were screaming and running out the doors. I stood my ground (in between chandeliers!!):lmao: :lmao:

Okay now for the most embarassing earthquake story. I figure we will be sharing almost two weeks together, you might as well know the worst!
The Whittier earthquake was also quite large and we lived about 15 to 20 miles away. I was in the bathroom, not showering or putting on make-up;) when the earthquake hit. All 3 of my children came running in sat on the floor holding on to my legs. It was a LONG shake. And there I was, with my three kids holding my legs, and me praying, please Lord don't let me die like this! The shaking stopped, all 3 kids get up as if nothing happened and all they say is (eewww Mom!!) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:
