We are not quite as hot as the desert, but pretty darn close. Tons of days of 100+.

Caro & I lived in Moreno Valley for a while.she worked at the Mouse House while I worked in Palm Springs. there is not much from Victorville to San Ysidro and Santa Monica to the Colorado river I have not been to, often sometimes due to Road Construction.

I miss some things, but much prefer the life up here. We actually have 4 seasons and none of them are HOT

I guess I scared Karen away.:confused3 is it something I said??

Oh well, I need to get some sleep too. I think Caro is asleep enough that I won't wake her.

As the thread has moved on so quickly I haven't read all of the catchup on this thread, but there is two separate things,

Last year I had a series of migraine and headaches, it was investigated including a Cat Scan but they didn't find anything, ( yes wait for the joke-Nothing, not a brain;) .

That wasn't really concluded.

However I do have a blood condition that requires steroids to keep in under control, its a rare condition and baffles most consultants, I have had it diagnosed for about 10 years but when I was diagnosed I was one of the few if any in the UK that had been diagnosed, now there are more people who doctors know have this condition, It is also know in the USA.

It doesn't effect anyone else just myself, but if untreated could have serious issues for myself and my organs.

They do not know if the headaches are linked or result of steriods, or stress from work. But on Monday I had to travel around London a lot, for business and on the way home in busy rush hour my tube had to stop as the tube in front stopped as someone pulled the emergency lever and we were stuck in a tunnel for quite some time, in a hot tube that didnt help.

OMG thats truely not good :sad2: I know from Ethan having long term steriods when he was born that the side effects are soooooo bad and I don't just mean the weird stuff it does to your body mass :scared1: :scared1:

I always thought that I would have less headaches without my wife & kids!:headache: :lmao:

Think about it Andrew!:rotfl:

Now that is a typical "Man Comment" Paul is ALWAYS saying "I told you I didn't want kids blah, blah, blah ":lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks, for that, I have been told a few times there is an enzyme to treat it but, theres good bad news on that, there is one now in development but i have the wrong type of it, so cant have it, but the good news is my type wont develop into Leukemia whereas the other does.

Strange thing is they can treat Leukemia and cure it in most cases, (if Identified quickly) but my type they cannot as yet, but its moved on fast in 10 years, before no one knew about it, now all the student doctors actually are trained on it to stop it.

It's amazing how quickly medical knowledge moves on and advances Andrew, you never know what is just around the corner. When Ethan was born they told us if he'd of been born 5 years ealier he would never have survived :scared1: At least now your condition is more widely known which means that investment is being put into the R&D of drugs for it.

Good to hear! What a pain for both of you! I'm impressed though that you were somehow able to find normality! Could you please tell me what that's like? :rotfl:
OK, I need to ask! Who are the other people in your siggie pictures, Izzi?

Hey Caro I'm with you, "normal" in our house is definately not the "normal" most folks have, most folks would call my "normal" "utter chaos" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The other people in my sig pic are my long lost "twin sister" Sallie, her wonderful husband Jimmy and their adorable daughter Carley. Sallie posts under the Dis name SallieP. You can't miss her posts they are alway written in Magenta and are in size 3 text. G-d willing they will be on the cuise with us :woohoo: :woohoo:

Anyway, the moral of the story---keep an eye out for side effects from the steroids.
The steroids saved Darren's life-Aplastic anemia was considered fatal at the time.

I'm with you on the keeping an eye on the side effects of the steriods, that stuff can do very weird things to your body :scared1: :scared1: Glad things worked out for Darren though.

We'll be sure to e-mail you with the list of everything that you've been volunteered for.

I believe you're already slated for the first cupcake share, where you mail a dozen or so cupcakes to each of your fellow Ballyhooer's.

Oh Laura that is ssssssssssssssooooooooooo nice of you :yay: :yay: :yay: I like cupcakes with the little sprinkles on and pink icing please :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That situation is ridiculous, I never heard of anything like that.....I'd like to know what the reason for the late bus was!

You and me both. I'm going to write to the school this week. I appreciate that the coach company is to blame for the coach not turning up and the school legal responsibility is to get the kids back to school after the trip, but there has to be a procedure where a contingency plan comes into force for "unplanned" situations.

They had the kids waiting in the street for 2 hours with no food or drink and no access to the toilet. They did have 2 teachers and a security guard with them but bearing in mind the current situation in Israel/Gaza and the fact the Josh goes to the biggest Jewish school in Europe and you do have a potential nasty situation

She's going to be the guest book attendant at my cousin's daughter's wedding next month. We got her shoes the other night and now needs a new dress since they don't go with the dress she was going to wear.
We had great success today, a new dress and a new sweater for $33.50 :woohoo: :yay:  and she likes them both.

I love it .... bargain shopping :woohoo:

OMG 18 pages in just over a day??????

I checked in yesterday about 10AM and noticed a 3rd thread was started for when we were closed down. Today I'm checking in about 5PM and I see 18PAGES!!!

I don't know Izzi, I think a few people around here are trying to give your Chattlyicious tag a run for the money!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Don't worry Caro, we'll plan another Dis mini meet or two before the cruise.

Well, back to page three where I left off to ketchup.

Well to be truthful Maryann I tdo think this whole thread is a bit Chattylicious, I can't imagine what the volume of chatter will be like when we all actually get onboard, it's going to be deafening :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks to all, I'm having a "h"ish week and reading these posts took me away for an hour........you guys are the best (sorry, Andrew, about the headaches.):grouphug:

Sorry about your week Joann   Glad we can provide a bit of light relief :yay: :yay:
