Oh good some more 1st han d reports and "got to know tips"

Actually we had a lovely day yesterday when my family came over BUT today we went over to my In-laws and unfortunately Paul's family have no idea how to behave and Paul got fedup and very upset so we left after a couple of hours :headache: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Families at Christmas!

-The best of times.....-The worst of times.

We managed to avoid most of the family drama and spent Christmas with "the good side!" I won't say which but we did get along and relaxed. It's really tough with all the pressure to get everything done while trying to work up to the last minute........I hope everyone is having a restful day........wait.........isn't this BOXING DAY?? (I have no idea what that means!)

Marekesh (sp??:confused3 ) I wanted to see the Belly Dancers.:lmao:

We will be having lunch at the Rose & Crown.

I've never been either of these..........who knew we had belly dancers in EPCOT!

The Morrocan resturant is very nice, the food is delicious and you really must try the mint tea after your food it's quite lovely

I am going to give her some help even though she is on RCCL, and then get info back all the ports, she doesnt do Germany but does do Helsinki.

That's so cool, we expect lots of info! I was on the Tortola thread yesterday looking over the excursions, they're pretty extensive...........I guess it's time to start looking that over. As I had mentioned, we're going to go on a land trip to St. Thomas in April, just Ken and I. So I'm going to try to do some day trips and to some of the places on the excursion list!

I could really use some sun right now, I'm so pale.......best wishes to all who are about to get a tan!:jumping1:

Wow, I never even checked that one out............recently, we've been to the Canadian place, we usually go to Mexico and we've been to Italy, France and Germany.

Teacher here :teacher: Boxing day is traditionally the day when you are supposed to visit friends and family to give your presents (boxes) as christmas day was a religious day and supposed to be spent in church :teacher:

Oh, I never knew that, well, have a great Boxing Day! (I'm so glad I don't have to visit anyone today!):duck:

Usually, we ALWAYS travel somewhere today, I don't know how I did that! I'm so beat, I can't imagine packing and being ready for anything right now. I've had an early season cold this year and I guess that's wearing me out....soon I will stop procrastinating and go to the gym..............:yay:

We've done just about every sit down in EPCOT except Germany (never really appealled) as we like to do a sit down family meal every night as a time to have a rest before we go off round the parks again

I've actually seen the Baths on a previous trip. At first, I thought that was my first priority but now I'm intrigued by other possibilies.......I think one was the Jost Van **** (sp?) beach day? I'm wondering about the other islands there.........also, I've eaten a few times at an outdoor restaurant in the harbor of Tortola which is surrounded by docks and yachts. Another thought is Cane Garden Bay..........I'm going to keep researching......anywhere there is so beautiful!:goodvibes

We usually eat out too a lot, but in EPCOT, we really like going to The Land restaurant. Also, some of the hotel places are our favorites like Cape May Cafe in Beach Club and some of the novelty ones in the parks like Sci Fi Diner.

OK Tonights dinner was the world famous legendary Christmas Turkey Tikka Masala, known as the CTTM in my house.

Basically formed of need when we buy ( every year ) a far too large Turkey, and get fed up with Turkey dinner, Turkey sandwiches, Turkey buffet.

This dinner is nearly as famous as my Chicken ding recipe.

For the CTTM, you go to the fridge and clear out every last bit of Turkey ( when the Mrs is out).

Put it in a pot with- you guess it Tikka Masala sauce, and onions carrots and any left over Veg, and cook it for an hour.-And No *&%** swearing allowed.

And all the Turkey is gone for this year.-Whoopiedo.

For those of you who want to know my Chicken ding recipe I will repeat it below.

CHICKEN DING (You might want a pen and paper)

  • Get one chicken.
  • Wash the Chicken.
  • Put it in the Microwave.
  • Set it to the Chicken automatic time.

Wait for Microwave to go:-

DING.

And its all done.

We have made it as far as the Magic Express Check in. Our flight from Seattle was delayed, causing us to miss the connection in Atlanta. We were directed to the next gate and when it was loading we found out we were not on that one. We got new boarding passes and went to grab breakfast, thinking we were on a 10:30 AM flight. WRONG, they had scheduled us on a 10:30 PM flight, arriving at MCO at 11:15 PM.:confused3 :confused3

I got us on a 11:50 AM flight that was delayed until 12:20 as they did not have any flight attendants.

But we made it here and Caro is checking us in for the bus to WDW. We left the house about 15 hours ago.

Glad you made it safely, sorry it's been a bit of a performance. At least this way things can only get better
