Hello Fellow Travelers!

I know this has been discussed before on here somewhere, and I'm (still) catching up. We are going to take a train to and from Gatwick to the London Bridge Hotel. We will be taking the Tube to and from Euston Station. I'm not sure how much more transportation we will require. I'm starting to think an Oyster card would be a good idea.

There are four of us (2 adults, 2 kids). It seems these cards are only adult cards. Is it worth it to buy cards for the adults and still have to pay cash for the children? Or would be it as cheap (and easier) to buy 4 adult cards?

Thanks to the smart people out there!

Hopefully by Monday!:thumbsup2

Hopfully, but she has worked weekends, so maybe when cruises are not in.

Firstly, you may know this Oyster will not extend as far as Gatwick, in fact the limit that direction is East Croydon. So buy tickets for that.

Oyster can be very handy, but really cuts in after a few rides, you have the deposit to cover,

If you have one return ride, LB to Euston and back, and say do that after 9.30am week days or anytime weekend get a off peak travelcard, or a return ticket whichever is cheaper that day.

Kids below 10 and below, are free and can walk through the manned gate. 11>16 child fare.

Thank you Andrew! I'm so glad you are around!

So Beth,

If you want to travel for a few days inside London, tube, rail, bus, and some boats, then get Oyster, if just one trip, you can buy on the day, at ticket office or self service, a return or a off peak travelcard, The travelcard is good for everything in a zone for the rest of a day, so worth having, you can select kids tickets at the same time, -if over 10, by adding them on the self service. Cash or credit cards. (Not sure about the chip and pin issue).
