7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

Or try to use you as the ball. :rotfl2: :confused3 :lmao: :dance3: :lmao: :headache: :rotfl:
Good Luck to them although I have never been accused of being a twig I have been at the gym regularly since November!

By the way the Ball reference falls back to the EB Repo!

:thumbsup2

Its worth the 50 points I may get for this, -

It still should leave you with one! :rolleyes1

Thats worth 50 Dis points, -bit below the belt. ()

Now Ive done it Ive got Andrew & Barb ganging up on me!:confused3

What do they say Love & Hate walk hand in Hand!:love2: :rotfl2:

Anyone ever do the Absolut Ice Bar in London? Is it worth it?

Did anyone ever eat there? Is the food any good or should we eat elsewhere?

We're doing the DOCUMENT DANCE in Michigan!:banana::dance3::dance3::yay:

Andrew, thanks for the info about Hot Air Balloon locations near London.

Our foreign currency is ordered. Just got British pounds, NOK, EEK and Rubles. Still had some Euro left over from 2007. DH will pick it up on Monday. Then I can cross that off the list.:goodvibes

Next I need to print my magnet designs. Does anybody who is a DVC member know if we get "welcome home" or bon voyage magnets on our door automatically  I know I have some on my refrigerator but don't remember if they're from a DVC member cruise our our Med cruise in 07.:confused3:confused3

Update on our docs - only Alexa and I have rec'd our docs in FL, nothing for DH as of yet. I guess his will be mailed here, in DE. So that must mean that my friends will get their's sent directly to them in England. They will be so excited when they get that delivery.

Has anyone seen any of the trailers for "The Sorcerer's Apprentice"? I've seen a couple of them and it looks like a really good movie. It comes out on the 7/14 so we should have it on our cruise. :woohoo: Even DD said that it looks like a really good movie. :thumbsup2

morning all

Question - if I remember you can shop in St. Petersburg right at the port - is / was this better than in stores along the way?

Also wondering, think I read you can't take Rubles in or out of Russia - is this correct?

Trying to figure out what foreign currency to order and how much for everything

Kara finishes up her college term tomorrow - not sure if she will be able to take any classes this summer - all depends on dates - she told me she would rather work more shifts than go to school this summer - besides traveling is supposed to be educational - right?

have a great day one and all :)
Can't remember where I read it but you are allowed to bring a small amount of Rubles into Russia:confused3
Not all banks carry them though so the local atms are your best bet.

Isn't it exciting !!!!!!!!
Thought I'd let you know what we decided to do in Stockholm. I talked to Taxi Stockholm and I can reserve a private taxi ( 7 passenger van ) for $60/ hour. I plan to have them meet us at the pier, have an hour long tour of the city and surrounding areas ( maybe 2 hrs ? ), then they'll drop us off at the Vasa, wait for us, then drop us off in Gamla Stan. Return to the ship at 3pm ( 6 hours: $360 for 7 of us )

We can't book until 2 weeks before the date.

Stockholm Taxi : +46 8 15 00 00, you have to call; can't book online
Looks good for a bigger group:thumbsup2
We decided on the Stockholm card-a little more money but it should make doing this port on our own a bit easier:confused3 Getting the card mailed to our house though. Expecting to be a bit weary by the time we get to Stockholm-so very thankful for the last 2 sea days to recoup.

When it gives the time we'll be in port, say 8-4:30. Does that mean the ship leaves at 4:30 OR is that the back onboard time ??

obviously we can't be onboard one second and depart the next! I wonder which of the times is the correct time? I'd guess the onboard time.
Plan to aim to get back to the ship around an hour before the onboard/sail time so that if you are running late you are less likely to miss the ship. I imagine it is possible to get a local boat to catch up, but who wants the stress and the inevitable audience:scared1:

Yeah I forgot your such a tea totaler!;):lmao::rotfl2::3dglasses
I like tea:confused3

Just looked up the trailer...looks great:thumbsup2:cool1:
Like these kind of stories:goodvibes
Nicholas Cage is not one of my favorite actors, but I did like him in National Treasure and this looks a little like that.
Love watching movies on the Magic/Wonder:lovestruc
Something so cool about that movie theaterpopcorn::

Maybe I'll see you there if they show it on the ship:woohoo:

I know you said Alexa is in your friends stateroom, so it make sense that her doc's are separate, but why are yours and Jay's separate?

I love watching movies onboard also! I've seen quite a few movies there at the late night showing!

Alexa is booked in my friends cabin so that is why her's is separate from our's. I have no clue why DCL sends my docs to FL and DH's to DE. When I logged into DCL's site to do the online check-in the DE address comes up for both of us and that is what the TA gave them as our address. So who knows... :confused3

Love watching movies onboard as well. Now we know the BV theater is always freezing and will bring appropriate sweats to wear there. DD will even bring a blanket with her to keep warm. This past Jan. she forgot to take her blanket onboard with us and froze in the theater, DH even had to go back to the cabin and get long sleeves it was so cold in there.

On the EBPC in 08 you only got them automatically if you had booked on points. The rep on the ship happened to be our guide when we bought in to DVC so we managed to snag some, but we'll be taking one with us this time

Perhaps it's that whole 'other family' and DH's thing! I've heard really weird things happen! :rotfl:

I seem to remember many of you are at Porters. Was that Friday night? We are booked there with our table mates from the EBPC on Friday at 5.30pm. We are doing the theatre meal before going to see Love Never Dies, so keep an eye out & give us a wave, or vice versa!!!

Have been quite busy and achieved much - currency obtained, FE gifts finished, water etc. bought. Booked eye & river cruise for our friends (although we're going too). Identified a walking tour around Windsor & a walk from Blenheim to Woodstock for lunch.

Party on Saturday for England v. USA, must get back to planning food - beer already bought!

In case we need something to do the day we get kicked off would Windsor be a good place to visit? We've never been there. I see you also mentioned Blenheim, would that be better to visit? Yes, we would like to see either Windsor Castle or Blenheim Palace.
