7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

We already have our pounds in our possession and just have to put them in an envelope and get to London, of course!!!!:rotfl:

We really can't thank you and Paul enough for this Celestine. :love:

Robert & Andrew - How the heck are you passing the Scrumpy back & forth "across the pond". You two are in rare form!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

popcorn::popcorn::

I do think Robert and myself were tipping something back last night, and maybe internet Scrumpy, we were having a bit of a laugh, and hope everyone takes all the posts as *jest*,

On the afternoon, following the night before, I would like to follow up my *waivers* last night that we were joking, and on nothing specific, and hope no one was offended in any way.

:ssst: Its top secret! :idea:

Paul is a member of the British Secret Service!:thumbsup2

He has another code name James Bond.

Hi Andrew,

If I may I would like to ask you a non-cruise question. We will be staying at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, for 2 1/2 day before cruise. Do you know of a store within walking distance of this hotel that is a Soccer store. My one son is big soccer player and would like to visit a soccer store in London.

Thanks
Tammy

Paul has answered but every football ground has one or two and often open long hours. Chelsea, is close, North London Arsenel and Tottenham have them. Currently they are selling England shirts at half price.

Robert and Andrew, while you 2 were passing the Scrumpy back & forth across the pond DD & I went to Epcot - no drinks for me over there today. So I wasn't ignoring either of you, just roasting over there.

Caro, you had me confused earlier - did you mean Maelstrom when you were talking about the trolls when I mentioned Akershus? Akershus is the restaurant there that does the Princess character meals and Maelstrom is the ride with the trolls.

Laurie, DD didn't want to wait for Haunted Mansion hence the reason for doing 'It's a Small World'. But we would have done that as well if we had gone on HM. She's spoiled by usually just walking on and the wait was 15 minutes and she didn't want to wait that long :sad2: .

Yes we were passing internet scrumpy last night and having a bit of fun only!!

Trust no one is offended.

Sorry not Andrew but Paul,

Lillywhites is a huge sports store on Lower Regents street (Piccadilly Circus) which is walkable easily from your hotel. I am sure you will be in the area of the Mall, Trafalgar Sq anyway.... or if you really want a soccer store go to visit www.soccerscene.co.uk/ they have a store in Carnaby St (just off Regent St) this store is like the Mecca for soccer shirts....hold onto that credit card, you son may maxit out in there:scared1:

Hope this helps, is there a particular team he is interested in....:thumbsup2

Paul

As above also all good Football grounds such as Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham. And I think Wembley.

I think you meant Sorry not Andrew but Paul?:confused3:confused:

Or did yo mean something else?

Was that Secret MI5 Code? If so what is the Secret word of the Day?:listen::);):lmao:

:wave2: Good Morning All :wave2:

off to do some errands than to the Beach for some swimming & a fried fishermans platter for dinner!:thumbsup2

Secret code word is Bobs your uncle today.

I see DH still hasn't quite got the hang of successfully quoting! Will not be giving him tuition tonight as we have been at a neighbours 50th birthday party which was a caribbean party - dusted of the old pirate outfit. I have bought youngest DD home, he is still there drinking them dry:rotfl:

Celestine

Summer Ale is a nice brew.

Speaking of which, any info on the beer selection on the Magic? Any changes from their regular selection now that they are in Europe?

Ken

Good for you, Marla!

Doesn't it feel great to get rid of what you no longer need! :banana:

Garage????? Car????? Is that what it is for?????????
:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

:confused3 HUH? I never said anything about Maelstrom or Akershus! (I don't mean ever in my life, just not here on the thread!)

Stace, we had a great time with you guys too! It was a fun day!

That's great:thumbsup2
I really like the little book it comes in. I keep it by the computer for when I want to refer to the port times.

That was me that mixed them up:blush: It's been a few years since I've been to Epcot and I am horrible with names. Please let me apologize now for when I forget everybody's name-it is not on purpose:rolleyes1

And I don't blame the DD for not wanting to wait in line for the HM. They seem to always have the longest line:sad2:

Can't believe we are getting so close:woohoo:
Glad you had a great time in Seattle and on your cruise:thumbsup2:cool1:

See, we are all getting things mixed up. I think we all NEED a vacation and soon.
Sorry Caro it was Laurie and not you.

4 more weeks!!!!! :banana: :woohoo:

We were there yesterday ! We got there right at 10 am when they opened. Only had entry tkts for 12:30. Fortunately Bruce is retired military so we got right in. It's not a Smithsonian museum, so thought it wasn't as good as I expected. However, very impressionable , very sad ,esp the part about the children. We were there 1 1/2 hrs and didn't have time to read everything. Lots of reading !
Sorry I missed you there. Hope we're able to get in on a Saturday.

My husband always rents his tux. Great not to have to pack suit and shoes. And I agree, price can't be beat !

Bruce and our son are renting tuxes for the Baltic cruise ( 7/18). Wonder what % of men will be doing the same ?
Still debating on the tux...leaning towards skipping it this time.

As long as we're able to figure out which part of the post is from Paul it's fine. Although it does make for a funny post sometimes;)
Good that you're getting more use out of the pirate costumes:thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2: I had no idea! My dh does plan on cleaning out ours before we get me my new car in August though. It's been years since a car has been in ours.
:lmao::lmao::thumbsup2
So glad we're not the only ones with a crowded garage. Our basement flooded last year and we had to move a ton of stuff to the garage, but we can still fit one car in there.

I did something today. I found our rain ponchos!:thumbsup2
Gotta pick some up myself:thumbsup2
I'm bringing at least one small travel umbrella that I will carry, but I'm assuming the rest of my family won't want to carry umbrellas (and I'm not carrying theirs)

See, we are all getting things mixed up. I think we all NEED a vacation and soon.

Oh, I'm in desperate need of a vacation:thumbsup2

Those sea days will be for relaxing, the rest of the vacation will be Go, Go, Go

On the Tux issue, I have posted before I am going for the business suit as it can be used in Palo as well for Dinner and Semi formal night. Just purchased my son aged 11, a suit from Marks and Spencer and he will wear on formal and semi formal night.

I suspect with many people flying transatlantic and luggage restrictions people may hire, or just have a jacket. In the med it was very relaxed and few in a Tux.

Nice we are at 28 days only now!

On main Blatic thread confirmation that 1/ Internet is very poor, on Magic, I found that in 2009, and 2/ Port intensive they are tired.

She posts disembarkation was fast at Warnmunde and St Petes.

Now I need to remember to take it with me for any small boat tours- I always forget as I rarely have trouble on the Magic/Wonder.
But with a river cruise in London and St Pete and the hydrofoil I will be needing it:upsidedow

That was good to hear:thumbsup2
Way to go DCL:cheer2:
