Hi- We are taking a weeklong trip "home" the week of 7/11/04 BCV after a 2 or 3 night stay at VB first. We are once again faced with the dilemma of whether we should bring a friend a long for our 16 year old son. The problem is that he has a whole new group of friends this year and we don't know any of them that well. One friend we would consider but it means park tickets and airfare as well as food. The family doesn't seem to have much money and I'm not sure if I want to pay for everything. Also, he's not always reliable and don't want to take the chance that he'll back out after we purchase airline tickets. Plus we don't really know the parents...in fact they hardly ever show their face at the door when we go to pick up our son. But that's a whole other issue and not the kid's fault.
Is anyone going that week that has a teenage boy that might be interested in getting together for some park time on the rides and stuff.? Did this once before and it worked out ok. We do enjoy hanging out together but sometimes he likes to do all the rollercoasters and thrill rides that my DH doesn't always want to do. I don't do them at all. I'm chicken!!
Anyway, if anyone is interested, maybe they can talk online via e-mail or instant message and try to get to know each other before then.
Thanks
Laurie
