We were wanting to add a 6th day to our park hopper 5-day tickets. The only info online I found was outdated so I'm wondering if there is a way to do this? I can't see paying $99 per person for one extra day and an annual pass is out of the question since we live far away.

5-day passes are the max you can get. So the two options you outlined are your only ones. Honestly, 5 days are more than enough for a single trip.

You can add a day for $10 per person after day 4/5 or 6 I'm not exactly sure. Just call reservations and have them add a day. You can get 10 day tickets and use them over a 14 day period for maximum day use.

I thought for DL the most you could get was 5 days. After that it's a one day or a season pass. I called to double-check and a CM said that's the only option.

Sadly DL was dumb and took the 6th day ticket off the table. We got it our first few trips but now 5 is max. I think it was stupid to do away with a way to make more money.

Yeah I miss the days of the 7 day ticket for $179, such a bummer now that the most we can get is 5 days for $315!

I'm super sad about this, too. We are getting ready to have our first 5 day trip and I am already missing that 6th day. An AP won't even work, because I looked at doing that instead, but the Saturday (6th day) is blocked out anyway. So we will just have an off day mid week. It is a shame, though. We drive 2 days each way to get there, I don't like being limited by only 5 days :( I could spend 7-8 days there easily!

Such a bummer! We were going to add a 6th day so we could visit the parks our first day on arrival, since two of the days we are there are grad nights and one night they close at 7:30. So we really won't have much evening time during that week.

I'm bummed they no longer ofter this either! We are using military salute tickets for myself, DH, and oldest DD so we can each activate two and have 6 days total and then buying middle DD a regular 5-day hopper. We're not totally sure if we'll need the 6th day for her yet (we may not use the 6th day on our tickets but it's still the best deal this way) so if we do end up going we'll have to buy her a separate 1-day ticket. All things considered though it's still a decent deal but having that 6th day upgrade would've been even better!

If that Saturday is the only road block...you could time it out so that the Saturday is your 5th day on a 5 day park hopper then upgrade your 5 day to the AP on that Saturday. If you buy or upgrade to any AP at the park it is good on that day of purchase it even if it is a blackout day. You would loose one day on the front end but could then stay as many days as you want on the back end!

We visit DL once a year from Oregon. We like to take our time at the park and not feel rushed (especially having little ones). So starting last Sept, I bought us our 5 day park hopper then upgraded to an AP once we got there. We stayed for 7 days and it was great! Then we planned this years trip in March so we can use our AP. My parents wanted to go in August, so we are really getting our use out of it! Next time we get an AP will be Fall 2016.

Living in Oregon, I thought having an AP would be ridiculous but with only having 5 day tickets available, we make it work to our advantage. Plus with the dining discounts and events (we just happened to be there for the Indy event in March, so cool!), it has really turned out to be a good investment.

AP wouldn't work for us we normally go once every couple years. This year is the off year because the 60th. Had I known last year that we wanted to do it this year too I may have got AP. Then again last year was early nov and we felt we missed to many things, so this year is dec. Wouldn't have worked for ap.

Good idea, except that you will not get the benefits of the Annual Pass discounts until the end of your stay. With the Annual Pass you'd be getting 10% off all your meals and merchandise. So do your major shopping at the end of your trip, I guess ;-)

Since Grad Night is over in DCA, wouldn't Disneyland Park itself be open to the general public? It's been so long since I've been down there during Grad Nights I can't remember.

Living far away and having an AP isn't necessarily ridiculous, if you can afford it. Even if you go just the one time this year and then again next year a Deluxe Annual Pass actually saves you money verse buying tickets 2 years in a row. But of course that's only if you can swing a trip both years.

Yes, grad nights do not affect Disneyland closure. The parties are at DCA. They just add extra guests to the park during the day.
