Our family of 6 (2ad, children 9,9,5,3) is going to WDW & Disney cruise for a 9 day trip coming up. Since we need multiple transfers, it's more economical to rent a minivan even though we're staying on-site.

I'm panicking now about fitting all of our luggage into the minivan. We have an odyssey, which would have enough room, but I don't think rentals are typically that spacious. My goal is to check 2 large suitcases, then pack the rest in carry-ons. Am I being realistic to think
a) I can do that for the 6 of us and
b) that we'll be able to fit everything in the rental?

I wasn't planning on doing laundry there, but maybe I should consider it.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

You should be fine. 2 large suitcases will easily fit in the back with some room for a few carry-ons on top.
Then you can put the rest of the bags in between and in front of seats. Instant foot rests!!!

We are a family of 7 , 3 teens and two little kids, we check one large bag and do the max allowed carry ons, we rent a mini van and while it's cramped everything fits in, you should be ok

We had five adults, one toddler, three large suitcases and eight or nine carry-ons in our minivan in March. It was crowded, but totally doable.

We had one gradma, two parents, one 18 year old and two 15 yr olds. I beleive we had a Dodge Caravan. We checked two large suit cases, two medium, two small and one large duffel for toiletries and everyone had a carry on of some kind (tote/back pack). It was tight but it worked :thumbsup2

Have a great trip.
