65th b-day present for Mom

My mother is turning 65 - me, DH and the DKs are taking my mom and dad for dinner on Sat night to celebrate the occasion.

Every year we take her to the same place for dinner, we pay and that's her present (that's all she wants for her b-day). With this year being a big one, I'd like to do something a little special. My first thought would be a cake that is decorated to look like a Social Security card - but I'm thinking there's no time for that now.

My mother really has everything she needs. She enjoys shopping; I really don't want to get her another gift cert.

ALso, my mom looks fabulous - and isn't ashamed to be 65 - I was even thinking of getting some of those huge balloons "6" and "5" and tying them to her chair.

Any suggestion on something to make turning 65 special.

You may not have time for this, but it might be nice to get her some kind of photo album "this is you life" kind of theme....all the pictures that represent different stages in her life. Also, converting home movies to DVD is a nice gift for someone.

Hi! Call the place and ask them-maybe have flowers brought over? Balloons are cute-and you still may be able to get a cake-There is this place in Orland I think its just called Orland Park Bakery...it is...(checked metromix) They can do real different stuff.
