I'm only doing two sit down meals and both are lunches. I would rather spend less money during a hot time of the day in air conditioning than Dinner at Be our guest.
Wait did you mean your budget for 8 nights is $600? My family of 5 spends around $2000 for 8 nights and that is still cheaper than buying DDP. We love Disney restaurants but I don't think there is any question that they are overpriced. You are paying for the atmosphere big time!
There's a reason I always have a car. Escape the Disney bubble folks. Orlando has lots of good food and while it's not always cheaper it has several advantages
1. You don't have to decide 6 months in advance that you will feel like Mexican food on that day LOL!
2. The quality is dramatically better
3. The service is often better
4. The prices are generally lower
5. You are less likely to be seated next to the family who thinks that junior throwing his food is too darling for words and you won't mind if it hits you (or even if you are the resturant probably won't be so packed you can't ask to be reseated LOL!)
This next trip will be the last one where I will have a child with that is under the “Disney Adult” age. I think our days are numbered at the buffets, outside Trail’s End. I just cannot swallow paying 150+ per buffet reservation.
