We’re staying onsite with 5 park days mid-March, so I’ll be able to book my FP+ 60+ days out. I’m waking up early on Sunday to book right when our window opens. Since I’ll be booking 15 FP+, I’m wondering what order to book them in. Day-by-day or most popular attractions first? For example, AK is our 4th park day, so should FOP be my first booking because it’s so popular or should I not be super stressed since I’m booking 65 days out and go day by day? If you’re team “popular first,” what would be your order of priorities across parks.

Our park day order is as follows: HS, MK, MK, AK, EP

Popular FP+ we want include: FOP, 7DMT, Peter Pan, Toy Story Mania, Frozen Ever After

Any others I’m not thinking of?

Thanks!

I'd book the most popular attractions first. I've seen posts where people who have longer stays were able to get FOP at the end of the week by booking it first with no availability toward the beginning of their trip.

Yes, most popular and start backwards from latest in your trip - I'd first do FOP and 7DMT based on previous experience.

do FOP first, then work backwards. If you want 7DMT, I'd grab that next. TSMM should be an easy one to get and the others will be as well. Good luck!

How does this sound?

FOP, 7DMT, TSMM, Frozen, Peter Pan, then the rest day by day, beginning if trip to end. Any you would switch around?

No Slinky Dog Dash? That one is a higher priority FP than Toy Story Mania if you want to ride it.

You will have the most problem with FoP. Generally that is available at 60+4 or later. We've had very little success at 60 -60+2. Good luck.
7DMT can be difficult, but with 2 days at MK, you should easily get it once , if not twice.
The rest of your list should not be too difficult.
I would consider SDD at HS. It really is fun.

I love the idea of most popular first, but honestly I just get confused about what I booked and what times. Then it tells me I have to modify or cancel the other ride. I typically have my computer, but could use my phone too. How do you all move through it?

I'd put Frozen and Peter Pan before TSMM, at least if you want a morning FP.
Thanks! I’m hoping for morning TSMM and early afternoon for Frozen and Pan.

booking FoP at 60+4. Fingers crossed!

I have a detailed touring plan (word document), and the Disney app, so make a list of what I want to get FP+ window wise (with some wiggle room) and book using my phone app with the word document in front of me. I guess I could print the list if and use my computer...

Is it typically fast to book via web browser or app?

Web browser for me, always. I'm guessing you have a reason for touring the parks in that particular order? Getting preferred headliners like FOP, 7DMT, and SDD are much easier at 60+4 and beyond. During Spring Beak FOP on Day 4 is probable but not guaranteed in my opinion. Do that first.

Thanks. We have friends joining us for one park day and they want to do magic kingdom, so it’s the order that works. AK has a morning EMH the day we’re going, so worst case scenario we rope drop FOP during the EMH. We did that last year during high season (New Years) and it worked thankfully!

Just did FP for our March trip this week. My daughter and I each had our laptops. She switched to her phone at one point. We had written out our choices on a tablet in order of priority. She started on the first day of the trip and I did the last part of our trip. We did the most desired rides first and then went back to finish each day. We were only booking for 2 people. We got everything we wanted except Slinky on the first day of the trip. I was able to get it for her a couple day later. Don't log on until 7:00. If you try earlier it can take a bit to refresh. Took us about 15 minutes. Good Luck.

Thank you! Great advice! I wish I had a helper.

Also, 7 am EST, right?

Thought I’d chime in with my experience! I just did my FP+ selections on Christmas Eve for my late-Feb trip, and I can confirm that yes, 7am EST is the time.

Be up before then though, because you’ll want to be ready to start right at the top of the hour. I got a FOP FP+ for mid-morning at 60+5 out, but about 15 minutes later I went to see if I could switch to a different time and all the times were already taken. I was lucky to get 7DMT at 60+1, but it’s a later time (5:25pm) and I still haven’t been able to switch it for any sooner window. Every minute counts with these. I mean, don’t get scared from my experience, but just be mindful.

What I did to make it not so overwhelming was make a little color coordinated spreadsheet listing in order of importance (and popularity) what rides I wanted FP+ for, also making note if I wanted them for more than one day. Then when the morning came, all I did was go down the list and do each FP in accordance with the day I’d be there. I even went a little overboard and made a side list of what Tier 2 FP+ I would want. Probably didn’t have to do that, but it felt good to know I wouldn’t have to attempt to think at 7am which passes to get. I wanted to quickly make my choices and go back to bed for a little longer. It was Christmas Eve after all. :rotfl:

But anyways, here’s a screenshot of the spreadsheet in case you were interested.

Day 4 AK FoP
Day 3 MK 7DMT
Those first two will matter most as they often only start having availability on Day 3 in the afternoon or evening. The rest shouldn't make much difference what order you do them.

This page on the dibb is a great resource, thanks to our friends over in the UK. It shows FP availability in near real time. I never plan my FPs without using it. Enjoy your trip!
