Does anyone know if 60 day advance online resort check-in will be available to DVC Members?

I have not heard anything like that. Why would one really even need that?

I have no interest in checking in 60 days in advance but the rumor is that Disney will offer the option of either granting a specific room request or you will be able to indicate that your priority is checking in early. Supposedly this became available today to resort guests in anticipation of fast pass+.

60 day check-in is up and running now. I am able to use it on the WDW site for my up coming Aulani stay in Feb. I have not tried it yet though.

It's probably more about using the FP+ system than anything else. As far as DVC goes, I really doubt it will have any impact at all on getting requests.

A lot can happen to a unit in 60 days. Maybe the system will allow for preference indication, but a new system that allows on-line request doesn't do anything to address all the real-world things that can happen in 60 days that could take a unit off-line.

I checked in for the last stay of our multi-split-stay at least a week, if not two weeks, ago. At VWL.

And I just now did it for Kidani (second WDW resort of our trip).

Who knows if it's actually doing anything, but it's fun. Now, I'm 25 days out from the first part of our stay, not 60, but it wasn't functional at 60 (or for the last week or two!).

I liked the options it gave me:

Room Requests

You may select up to 2 room requests.
Sunset Savanna
Pembe Savanna
Near Lobby
Lower Floor
Near Elevator

Room Ready Request
I would like my room ready for early arrival and to prioritize that over other requests.

I thought it was interesting how you could say that having the room ready early was more important than anything else, or just leave it alone so you would hopefully get requests.

Seemed to be specific for my stay (in other words, those choices did not come up for the POR part of our stay). Then the server timed out when I went to do SSR, the third WDW resort of our trip. (I'm either going to love or hate this trip, LOL) So I'll have to find out the choices it gives me later!

(all the above while going through the main WDW site, by the way)

Well I feel left out. I check in in 13 days and I'm not getting the option to do online checkin. Are you guys doing it from the DVC website? I can't even get the new regular Disney website to recognize anything I have booked, whether it's a room reservation or dining reservation. Before the last change I had no problem accessing my reservations/and ADRs

I'm checking-in in 14 days but the DVC site will not allow me to check-in.
That's why I thought that it was available for standard resort quests and not DVC ressies.

Were these DVC point reservations or cash?

Except for the POR reservation, they are all on points.

Everyone is having different luck with the disneyworld.com website as they continue to work on it. I happened to hit a window today where the link worked for checkin. (a week or two ago I hit a window with VWL, but it didn't look anything like the process did today!)

I've had good luck with having all of my resort reservations show up on disneyworld.com (though I had to manually link most to my account since DVC is in DH's name but it's my account on disneyworld.com). (I've had to manually link all of my dining reservations)

If you have other browsers that you use, try them. If you haven't cleared cookies and cache from your computer, do that. Those things *can* help you get onto the new site with more functionality. And if it says there are no reservations, do the manual process; it works for some of us. Though it has always said it can't bring up the full info, but I can link it anyway. I do that, and later it brings up full information.

No luck. I manually linked my reservations but couldn't check-in.

I just finished manually linking my dining reservations to "my disney exp". I can pull them up on my iphone, but still can't pull up my resort reservation. I can pull up my resort reservation on my computer, just not my phone.

Now I can't pull up my dining reservations. I'm glad I printed a list of reservations with confrimation numbers. Hopefully I'll be able to manually link them.

After reading this thread I decided to login and see if we were able to check in, since our stay is a month out. The site said because of difficulties on the web site, DVC members are unable to check in online at this time, and to check in at the resort.

No luck. I manually linked my reservations but couldn't check-in.

While I was making my original post here, the site said that the servers were down which prevented me from doing SSR's checkin, and an hour later that hadn't changed. Apparently it's the online checkin servers, since everything else was working.

to be specific, the error message I got, and am still getting, is:

Server Is Busy

Sorry, but the server is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or scheduled downtime. Please try again later.

Just today I'm noticing more functionality (or *possible*/future functionality) and more changes on the disneyworld.com website than I've seen yet, during this time of extreme change on the website, so I really wouldn't trust any error message other than something about the server, LOL.

And I see that the DVC site still says to check in at 10 days, but I've never gone through that line for online checkin anyway. I've always used the WDW website. So I don't know what it normally looks like through the DVC site.

I just checked in about 58 days before our trip to BLT. I linked my DVC reservation to the My Disney Experience account/web site and it noted that I could check-in. It wouldn't take our credit card number and there was nothing wrong with what we were entering. :confused3 Maybe it will take it later.

I was able to check in online about 2 weeks ago for a reservation then 50 days out.
I was stunned when I was offered online check in at the site and just played along and tried it. It worked! We are all set and checked in for our late February vacation. :thumbsup2

Both my Resort and Dining reservations show in My Disney Experience this morning and I was able to check-in 13 days out. Would't take my credit card info either. I think Disney programmers are very busy making all the changes.
