Gaston's Tavern is nice, and I see Andy and Des got the cinnamon roll, which I LOVED!!! I also love the Mickey's popcorn bucket. I didn't get that one, though I did get the big holiday tub.

You got some great pictures of the castle show!! And it looks like you had a great spot to watch it too.

Love the Christmas popcorn bucket! How cute is that?

I can't believe that the wait times were so short! People must have been camping out in the hub. :rotfl:

The castle looks gorgeous decked out in lights. One of these days we'll get there to see it. You're right-Maddie would love it.

did you and mark join in on the dancing???? nice having walk on to the rides :cool1: love all the castle photos, so pretty :goodvibes
got to get one of those mickey buckets, so cute!

Those Castle pix are magnificent!! I can't wait to see them this December!! I am sooo glad to know that Mark would Pole Dance with me:banana:and I would try on hats with him !!!

I love the castle pictures! I so want to make it back to MVMCP! It was one of my favorite nights there when we went. I know a lot of people complain about the price not being worth it to get in, but I have to tell you, I think it is worth EVERY cent!

OK I am convinced I have to do MVMCP!
No line for Peter Pan...love the pictures of the castle...and have to get that Mickey Santa popcorn tub. We bought the R2D2 one for my 12 yr old GS last year and he has it in his room on his desk with stuff in it.

Here is what the kids had:

DisneyChristmasTripwAndysFamily2012435.jpg

$9.99 seems like an awful lot for a drink! Even if you get to keep the cup. But I admit to being cheap. ;)[

Decembrr92012Part2073.jpg

I love It's a Small World. My Kids did too. DH wasn't much of a fan though:confused3:)

While we were waiting for them, I decided since I had not had dessert at dinner I would get some of this yummy stuff:

Decembrr92012Part2097.jpg

Love this Souviner popcorn container! I'd pay $9.99 for that;)

You pictures of the castle are AWESOME!!! I love them!!! so clear!! The popcorn is GREAT!!!!

again i love your report! Space mountain is one of our favorites.. Totally can understand not wanting with his poor neck!!!

When I left you, we were all hungry. The kids wanted to go to Gaston's Tavern and Mark and I were more hungry than that, so we went to Cosmic Rays.
So hungry that even a pork shank wouldn't cut it??? :confused3 :rotfl:

We finished up our meal and texted Andy and it was decided that we would meet at It's A Small World since Mark and Des wanted to take that slow boat to China. Really? Can't we just skip it this year? Well, since we can't, I will make you all suffer right along with me with some pictures that I took and some of Des'.
Well, aren't Mark and Des big enough to ride without adult supervision??? :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

The kids wanted to do Space Mountain and there was like a five minute wait. So they left the camera, purse and everything else they had with us and off they went (we had no desire to do this...Mark refuses since his neck surgery; I'll probably give in to the girls in June).
So you can skip Space Mountain and let them ride alone, but you get right into the boat on IASW. :scratchin

Great castle pictures. I've got to say, I really love the new projection show. I was more impressed by the original version than I expected to be, but the new version is really fantastic!

Now that our August trip turned into a November trip.....;) Maybe we can get a do-over. Plus having hubs there means we might get to see a parade ::yes::

OK I am convinced I have to do MVMCP!

we are going to do the party too! can't wait! hope we can schedule a DISmeet up! where are you staying???

What did they think of Gaston's? :confused3

Just skip it! She wouldn't drink the Beverly, after all.

There was no line for Peter Pan so we hopped over to ride that

Decembrr92012Part2193.jpg

Is it just me, or does this croc look like he was riding IASW with you?:rotfl2:

And I got a picture of how you knew where you could get cookies and hot cocoa

NOW we have our priorities straight.:thumbsup2

Mmmm...brains...

Great castle pictures! The icicle lights are just spectacular.

Well, aren't Mark and Des big enough to ride without adult supervision??? :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

::yes:: :rotfl:

Love those short lines during MVMCP! No wait for Peter Pan? That's crazy good!

The Mickey popcorn bucket is too cute!

I love the castle show! :) Can't wait to see you pictures of my favorite-Holiday Wishes!

we are going to do the party too! can't wait! hope we can schedule a DISmeet up! where are you staying???

11/30-12/:dance3:7 at POFQ I think the party dates come out in May and we can do ADR the end of May. Just waiting for airlines and would love a discount from the mouse

Wow you lucked out with no lines for the rides.

LOVE the castle pictures!!! So beautiful!:thumbsup2

The older DH & I are getting the more we decide not to ride SM. We might do it once in Oct. but that will be it. Last year the boys rode a lot but we sat it out.

Looking forward to more party time...

we are there 11/26 - 12/7 and staying at AofA....we stayed at POFQ Oct 2011 and LOVED it, would stay there again, but wanted to try AofA!
party dates get released May 1 I believe and we get to start ADR's on May 25...I'm hoping for discount too, but not holding my breath, waiting on air too, but have saved $$ up so far for room & food...we are getting premier AP's since we have 3 trips to DLR also planned for this year and those are paid for too! so just air and fun $$ to save by Nov!

That's a plus with the parties...when everyone else is in line for cookies and cocoa and watching the parades, we were walking right on the rides! I think DH and the kids rode SM during the Christmas Party like 5 times in a row because no one was there, the CM just let them stay on and keep riding!

Disney popcorn is just the best and I love how they theme the buckets and cartons to the holidays.

Great pictures and I need to try some of that brew...looks yummy! We had the brew or whatever it was called at Universal when we went through the Harry Potter section and it tasted like frozen cream soda/apple cider. So good!!

P. S. Chicago needs to do a better job shoveling and salting the sidewalks!! Do you know how many times I've almost fallen?! It's not easy walking on ice!! I feel like I slide down the blocks half the time lately!

No, Kathy. Sword fights are for grown ups. It was my brother in law. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

How silly of me....of course it is for grown ups.

Ya'll really lucked up with the short wait times! I figured that they'd be much longer with it being a party night.

I can't figure out where they all were, but it seemed to be a "light" crowd that evening.

Oh the castle pictures! It's so pretty with all the lights on it! I wanna see it mommy! I really really do!:rotfl:

You need to give John a big kiss and ask him nicely if you can go.

Gaston's Tavern is nice, and I see Andy and Des got the cinnamon roll, which I LOVED!!! I also love the Mickey's popcorn bucket. I didn't get that one, though I did get the big holiday tub.

I'm glad someone knew what they were eating. I didn't see any other holiday tub. :confused3

You got some great pictures of the castle show!! And it looks like you had a great spot to watch it too.

We did have a wonderful spot, and the really good pictures are Des'...she has a much better camera than me.

Love the Christmas popcorn bucket! How cute is that?

Mickey was a part of my Christmas decorations when we got home.

I can't believe that the wait times were so short! People must have been camping out in the hub. :rotfl:

Camping out in the hub or eating all the cookies.

The castle looks gorgeous decked out in lights. One of these days we'll get there to see it. You're right-Maddie would love it.

I can just see Maddie's face lighting up the moment she saw it.

did you and mark join in on the dancing???? nice having walk on to the rides :cool1: love all the castle photos, so pretty :goodvibes
got to get one of those mickey buckets, so cute!

No, no dancing for us. My husband does not dance. Wait, let me correct that statement: my husband CANNOT :dance3: I have threatened that he is taking dance lessons with his son before the wedding. The castle was even more beautiful than the pictures.

Those Castle pix are magnificent!! I can't wait to see them this December!! I am sooo glad to know that Mark would Pole Dance with me:banana:and I would try on hats with him !!!

Rosie, Mark would love for you to try hats on with him. Thanks...I love looking at those castle pictures...such sweet memorioes.

I love the castle pictures! I so want to make it back to MVMCP! It was one of my favorite nights there when we went. I know a lot of people complain about the price not being worth it to get in, but I have to tell you, I think it is worth EVERY cent!

Tam, I'm with you. I totally think it was worth the price and we plan on going again this year!

OK I am convinced I have to do MVMCP!
No line for Peter Pan...love the pictures of the castle...and have to get that Mickey Santa popcorn tub. We bought the R2D2 one for my 12 yr old GS last year and he has it in his room on his desk with stuff in it.

Oh...you must do it...it is so worth it. I would just take a break in the afternoon for the little one. I LOVE that R2D2 bucket (even though I'm not a Star Wars fan).

Here is what the kids had:

DisneyChristmasTripwAndysFamily2012435.jpg

$9.99 seems like an awful lot for a drink! Even if you get to keep the cup. But I admit to being cheap. ;)[

And from what Nicki told me, it wasn't that good.

Decembrr92012Part2073.jpg

I love It's a Small World. My Kids did too. DH wasn't much of a fan though:confused3:)

Not a fan of It's a Small World or Carousel of Progress...but I do them to please my hubby since he finances these trips by umpping baseball games all summer.

While we were waiting for them, I decided since I had not had dessert at dinner I would get some of this yummy stuff:

Decembrr92012Part2097.jpg

Love this Souviner popcorn container! I'd pay $9.99 for that;)

I can't remember what I paid for it...but I would do it again. And the popcorn is the best!

You pictures of the castle are AWESOME!!! I love them!!! so clear!! The popcorn is GREAT!!!!

Thanks; I really wanted to get some good shots and between Des and I, I think we did pretty darn good. I LOVE Mickey popcorn...no popcorn like it.

again i love your report! Space mountain is one of our favorites.. Totally can understand not wanting with his poor neck!!!

To me, SM got bumpier after the rehab and it just bothers me the older I get. I will do it with the girls in June becasue their mom won't; but Mark steers clear of that one (yet he'll do Rock & Roll :confused3)

So hungry that even a pork shank wouldn't cut it??? :confused3 :rotfl:

I wasn't feeling the pork shank and we really like the variety at Cosmic Rays.

Well, aren't Mark and Des big enough to ride without adult supervision??? :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

You've never met Mark and Des, have you? If you are talking "height wise" the answer is no. If you are asking maturity wise the answer is no again.

So you can skip Space Mountain and let them ride alone, but you get right into the boat on IASW. :scratchin

Space Mountain gives me a major headache; wait, so does IASW. I have no idea what I was thinking...I must have been a softy since it was his birthday trip.

Great castle pictures. I've got to say, I really love the new projection show. I was more impressed by the original version than I expected to be, but the new version is really fantastic!

I thought the new projection show was top notch!

Now that our August trip turned into a November trip.....;) Maybe we can get a do-over. Plus having hubs there means we might get to see a parade ::yes::

Wait a minute...when did August turn into November? This means I won't meet you. :sad1:

What did they think of Gaston's? :confused3

They liked their cinnamon roll; the place itself is neat. They don't offer a lot in the way of food.

Just skip it! She wouldn't drink the Beverly, after all.

I should have told her that...I've got to be quicker on my feet. Or take you with me.

Is it just me, or does this croc look like he was riding IASW with you?:rotfl2:

Um...no! Becasue that was at Peter Pan. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

NOW we have our priorities straight.:thumbsup2

Some very yummy cookies too.

Mmmm...brains...

No they weren't...it was the best popcorn in the world.

Great castle pictures! The icicle lights are just spectacular.

Thank you; I just melted when I saw that castle lit up like that.

::yes:: :rotfl:

Please do NOT encourage Andy...he needs no help.

Love those short lines during MVMCP! No wait for Peter Pan? That's crazy good!

Michelle, I was shocked. I NEVER wait for Peter Pan. We either go first thing in the morning or if we aren't fast passing anything else, we'll get a fastpass for it.

The Mickey popcorn bucket is too cute!

He was/is and I put him out with my Christmas decorations and had it filled with candy.

I love the castle show! :) Can't wait to see you pictures of my favorite-Holiday Wishes!

Wasn't Holiday Wishes spectacular? I loved it even more than Hallowishes.

Wow you lucked out with no lines for the rides.

It was awesome.

LOVE the castle pictures!!! So beautiful!:thumbsup2

Thank you.

The older DH & I are getting the more we decide not to ride SM. We might do it once in Oct. but that will be it. Last year the boys rode a lot but we sat it out.

Headache and neck pain for Mark...nope we will pass. Let the kids have it.

Looking forward to more party time...

Going to try to finish up today if I stop getting interrupted at office.

That's a plus with the parties...when everyone else is in line for cookies and cocoa and watching the parades, we were walking right on the rides! I think DH and the kids rode SM during the Christmas Party like 5 times in a row because no one was there, the CM just let them stay on and keep riding!

I was really surprised...I thought it would be more crowded on the rides. But we weren't complaining. That was nice of the CM to let them just stay on and keep riding.

Disney popcorn is just the best and I love how they theme the buckets and cartons to the holidays.

No popcorn compares.

Great pictures and I need to try some of that brew...looks yummy! We had the brew or whatever it was called at Universal when we went through the Harry Potter section and it tasted like frozen cream soda/apple cider. So good!!

Nicki did not like it at all.

P. S. Chicago needs to do a better job shoveling and salting the sidewalks!! Do you know how many times I've almost fallen?! It's not easy walking on ice!! I feel like I slide down the blocks half the time lately!

Please tell me about it. I've worked down here for 38 years and I'm surprised I've not fallen more times than I have. :rotfl2::rotfl2:
