60 Candles, 30 Million Lights, Best Friends&Family at Disney--Priceless (New 5/23)

We stayed where we were after the projection show on the castle as Holiday Wishes was going to be starting shortly. Several people left which I was very surprised to see. But we weren't complaining...more elbow room for us to take pictures without being hit in the arm as we were clicking away. For your viewing pleasure, I present you with Holiday Wishes (these are photos from all three of our cameras):

I always cry during Wishes, but I have to tell you I really cried during Holiday Wishes. Absolutely spectacular! I can't wait to see it again.

After Wishes ended, a lot of people started heading off to rides, but a lot of people stayed to get a spot for the parade. Mark can't sit low down on the curb as he has a hard time getting up (it's that age thing ). He found a bench after he knew where we were sitting and went and sat there and people watched while Andy, Des and I saved our spots on the curb. We have two very rude families behind us shoving and pushing closer and closer to us as if they wanted to get in front of us. Sorry guys...NOT happening. One of them pushed their kid into the tiny spot I had saved for Mark and I told her that spot was saved. I think we had about a 20 minute wait and Des and I posted a few pictures on Facebook while Andy ran and got them cookies).

Darn...I've run out of time as I have a client coming in to sign some papers and then much catch the train. So, friends, I am sorry you will have to wait until Monday for the parade pictures. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Oh, you are such a tease!!!! Waiting till Monday!!! Especially when you know I have nothing else to do with this storm. That is just mean!!

I am so glad to know I am not alone when I cry at wishes! Maybe they put something in the air to make tears flow as the fireworks fly???

Wonderful updates as always!!! Glad you enjoyed MVMCP!! I enjoyed going once to see the decorations and the check out the party. I think I prefer the Halloween themes better, though. Definitely enjoyed that parade more. Though I thought the Toy Soldiers were awesome!!!
Don't you just love how people will push and shove their way in front? We were tired one evening and just sat really early curbside for the parade, grabbed some snacks and just people watched. The kids played with the CMs who were entertaining the crowd. 5 minutes before the parade was to start, 2 extremely TALL people (mind you I am only 5'2") thought they deserved to grab some space in front of us. I was like umm, no I don't think so. And then they acted like they didn't speak English. Luckily, the CM saw them and made them move!
I don't mind letting kids in front of me. But grown-ups should know better.

Absolutely LOVED the 7th photo in your fireworks group. The blue/black one of the castle. Gorgeous.

the castle and fireworks together always gets me too...and yes I do cry also!

Great pics. Yeah I cry during Wishes & Illuminations. I am a wimp. The music & everything just gets to me.

Yeah don't you just love the people that get there 2 minutes before the parade & think they are just going to move right on in on you. Like you said NOT happening. We hold our spot for a long time & that is OUR spot. I don't mind little ones sitting in front so they can see (if there's room) but some of these people have quite the nerve sometimes.

Just getting caught up on your MVMCP updates! Wow, you guys had some really short waits for rides during the party! I mean, they are usually pretty low, but I don't think I've ever seen Peter Pan have no line!

Yum, Disney popcorn! Someday I have to get one of those souvenir buckets, they are so cute, but so expensive!

Isn't Holiday Wishes the best? I LOVE it! It's definitely my favorite fireworks show, just the combination of Christmas music and Disney magic and fireworks makes it extra special, that's why I keep going back during Christmas season!

Ugh, I hate when you find a good spot for a parade and people try to shove their way in front of you.

You guys had so much fun at the Christmas Party! It's just such a festive time! I love the whole hot chocolate and cookie thing. It really fits in with the awesome theme.

I LOVE this TR! You guys all look like you're having such an amazing time!

We only went to MVMCP once and that was back in 2006. They didn't even have the ice lights on the castle yet! I always think about going back during the holiday season but October is just so much fun!!

Alisha has terrible handwriting and had planned on using labels for them. I told her she could not do that (it was okay for the Save the Date cards), so me...being the wonderful future mother-in-law that I am, offered to write the envelopes out.

You are wonderful! And yes, handwritten is a must. But...what is her mom doing?

Fun update! That is the cutest popcorn container I love the light show on the castle, as much or maybe more than the fireworks. I'd really never seen it at all until the Halloween party and it was such a highlight.

Morning Kathy just catching up before heading in to work !!Thank goodnes it is really close !! Last night was scarey driving home !!On the way in I saw an accident with a Metro bus and a car , well I didn't actually se the impact but sure saw the damage after The police hadn't even arrived yet so it had to have just happened !!! The Hill I have to use to got to my second job is treacherous and it was a white knuckle ride both ways !!
