I left you with us "securing" our spots on the curb. It was almost time for the parade to start, so Mark walked over to where we had saved seats on the curb (we were right near the Ice Cream shop. Mark arrived and said he'd rather stand and not sit on the curb since it is so hard for him to get up. Andy was going to stand too so he could take pictures. There had been a very nice family behind us, next to the "shovers and pushers". We asked the two young children if they would like to sit next to us so they could see better. Their faces just lit up like a Christmas tree and trust me there was some grumbling from the other people. Well, maybe next time you won't be so pushy and I would have offered your three kids the spot. :snooty:

We all got ourselves situated, Mark struck up a conversation with the two kids parents while we waited (turned out they lived about 45 minutes away from us) and we patiently waited. Here are some parade photos to brighten your evening:

The parade over, we said goodbye to Mark's new friends, the kids thanked us and gave me a hug and we waited for the crowd to disperse. We decided to walk to the hub and get a couple of pictures.

After that, the boys said they had an errand to go on, so they went in one direction and Des and I decided to go back to Cosmic Rays and get more cocoa and cookies.

Love the update. The parade pics look so pretty with the castle in the backround. It is a small world, meeting someone close to home.

Cocoa and cookies in hand, we headed back to Main Street to find the boys. On the way I found a PP photographer and Des and I had not had a picture alone, so we stopped and had our picture taken.

There were so many great borders that I had to use almost all of them. :lmao:

We met the boys and Andy and Des were looking for a certain pin. They found it, made their purchase and we had one last thing we wanted to do. We wanted our picture taken with Mickey and Minnie. It was about 20 minutes from park closing so we figured we better hurry. But on the way, some pictures were taken and it was snowing. I have to tell you, I just stopped and cried when it started snowing as we were walking down Main Street.

We arrived by Mickey and Minnie and the line was less than five minutes. I could not believe it. Our timing tonight had just been perfect for everything we did.

It was the perfect ending to a magical and special time with our son and his girl.

We walked to the bus stop and must have just missed a bus as there was no one in our line. But we no sooner got there and another bus pulled up and we were on our way back to the CSR. We all brushed our teeth and went to bed...we had a busy day the next day.

Up next...another "first" for us for breakfast

Such great pictures! How funny the people you met live so close to you....small world!!

Sounds like you had a pretty perfect night!!

Too bad for pusher & shover. That's what karma does to you.

Your picture of the snow turned out so nice!

I love the parade pictures. I can't wait...I can't wait! I must ask you where did you buy the Christmas shirt you had on...I love it and wonder if you bought there or somewhere else.

Kathy, is there really anything else?! :)

Absolutely not.

Love the update. The parade pics look so pretty with the castle in the backround. It is a small world, meeting someone close to home.

Thanks, Tink. It was so magical. It truly is a Small World.

Those are great photopass pics! Love all the backrounds.

Thank you again; it was so hard to just pick one background.

Thank you, Starr. It's funny...it's not the first time we've sat for a parade or show and met someone close from home.

It truly was a perfect night.

Too bad for pusher & shover. That's what karma does to you.

Your picture of the snow turned out so nice!

Maybe they'll think better next time of trying to push their way in.

I love the snow picture.

I love the parade pictures. I can't wait...I can't wait! I must ask you where did you buy the Christmas shirt you had on...I love it and wonder if you bought there or somewhere else.

You will love it. I got that t-shirt three years ago at Target.

Beautiful photopass pix!! Loved the parade photos as well. Can't wait to see where you are off to for breakfast.

Love your parade pictures!! And so nice to let the two kids sit with you. How cool that they live close to you!

Great pics of you and Des, and everyone with Mickey and Minnie! I loved all of the MVMCP backgrounds and had a hard time choosing which ones to use too! :santa: And your snow pictures look great. You can even see the snow on the close-up of Des and Andy in their hair and clothes!

 YAAAA!!!! For a new computer!!! Its great to come on a get an update. I so loved the party parade.

I have to tell you, the year we went it was COLD in December and our party night was pretty chilly. When the snow started, Brenda thought it was for real! :lmao: She got mad at me because I told her it doesn't really snow in the Magic Kingdom... Mickey won't allow it! :rotfl:

Thanks...it is so hard to take parade photos sometimes as they move so fast. Breakfast was "different".

Love your parade pictures!! And so nice to let the two kids sit with you. How cool that they live close to you!

They were really the sweetest kids; I even shared my popcorn with them. :)

Thank you; I'm glad Des and I stopped for one together. Wasn't it hard? Too many cute ones! I had to go back and look at the picture and you are right.

 YAAAA!!!! For a new computer!!! Its great to come on a get an update. I so loved the party parade.

So far so good with the new laptop. It has Windows 8 which I've never used so it is a little bit different...but so far so good. Happy to be rid of my Dell...I will never buy another Dell again.

I'm sorry it was cold when you went. We had 82 every day; I think the party night was the coldest night we got and it went to do about 57. Poor Brenda; you should have added this is the kind of snow you don't have to shovel. :)

Kathy loved the Parade !!! Good for you offering a spot to the nice families kids !!I hate those pushy folks who think they have rights above all others !!!!

Great update Kathy!!!

I love the Christmas parade pictures! It looked like you all had so much fun! And it was so nice of you to offer a seat to the little ones behind you. :)

The photopass pictures turned out great!

D~

I absolutely love Holiday Wishes. It is worth it to get the party ticket just for that show! Great pictures.

The whole fight for position is the worst part of the parade experience at MK. I love the parades, but sometimes it almost isn't worth it to deal with other people. :sad2:

I actually cry getting on the DME...something about WDW videos.... SO sentimental

great photos of the parade...has a few things similar to the DLR one! isn't the snow amazing, just adds to the whole magic of the night!
love all your PP pics and the borders!

sweet you pixie dusted the little ones with the boys spots!

Nice work. :thumbsup2

I still think the b&w looks really cool.:thumbsup2

Probably just the extra particles in the air bothering your eyes. That would be my story, anyway. :rolleyes1

It was the perfect ending to a magical and special time with our son and his girl.
