6 year old FOP, too scary?

We'll be visiting AK soon and I was wondering if FOP would be appropriate for myDD who is 6. We visited an indoor water park recently, and she was hesitant about going on the water slides. I coaxed her into the smallest one and within the hour I couldn't pull her away from the big ones. Has anyone had experience with a child this age on FOP? If, so would you tell me about it?

I have a 4 year old that loves it but he's very adventurous so it depends on the child. Does she enjoy amusement rides? Have you taken her to a local fair?

Only you'll know. There's plenty of 6 yr olds and younger that have ridden it and loved it. But I'm sure there's been older ones that have hated it.

I think in general a 6 yr old would enjoy the ride

I answered a similar question sometime recently, here's a cut/paste of what I said on that thread:

Highly variable on the child. My DS rode when he was 6 in May and really enjoyed it. He's cautious by nature and not a big fan of dark/super intense rides, but he's inconsistent.... eg, loves EE but won't go on Pirates due to the dark drop . Wouldn't touch HM until recently. Won't go on TOT at all.

The long FOP pre-shows gave him a bit of anxiety and I could see he was starting to question the whole thing.... but he hopped right on the ride vehicle when it came time. When it was over he proclaimed it the best ride ever. I figured it would be 50/50 whether he'd love it or leave crying (father of the year I guess), so I was glad it worked out.

I'd go if you think your child is up for it - it's an amazing ride.
