Had an overall GREAT time with wife, 16, 13, 11 and 5 year olds.
Positives:
-Cinderella's Royal Table-very quaint
-Housekeeper Lucinda at Ft Wilderness Cabins-Excellent!
-Fireworks and Electric Parade on the Water
-Weather-could have been a bit cooler Wed and Thursday but overall great.
-Food at Narcoosee's (dinner for two)
-older kids went to Hollywood studios one day by themselves and pretty much had free roam at the park of the day where ever we were.
-cabins were quaint and adequate (2100 loop). Adults slept on the Murphy bed and kids stayed in the bedroom.
-New water slide and kids area at the Meadow's Pool was great!
-the server from Panama at the Trail's End.
-Big water taxi from FW to MK (there used to only be launches from FW to the Contemporary and from there-monorail).
Negatives:
-service at Narcoosee's and Coral Reef, I've had better service at the Western Sizzler ;-). We had a late lunch for all 6 of us at the CR and I got the distinct impression that the server knew she was getting her grat regardless of the service and did as little as possible-I'm a 20 to 25% tipper for very good service, so it was her loss.
-Food at Crocket's Tavern-the food (especially the pizza) used to be GREAT but now they serve some kind of freezer-burned tasting frozen pizza. Nachos had some kind of mystery meat sauce and a bag-o-cheese sauce that was terrible. (OK so all we ordered that night was pizza and nachos but after that, we couldn't go back)
-Ft. Wilderness is a LOT more bare than it used to be. We stayed in the 600 loop about 6 or 7 years ago and you couldn't see from site to site. Now you can basically see every camper or cabin in the loop you are in. That used to be part of the charm for me anyway...
