6 night stay at POP increased by almost $200 between November and now!

Back in November, I booked a 6 night stay for 3 people and put a deposit down for an early December stay. We may be adding another person to our trip, so I asked my agent to price it out for us, and was told that ticket prices have also increased since then (in case I was looking to re-book our reservation to add another person).

When I went to have a look at the same room/ticket package we currently have for 3 people, it’s now gone up almost $200! Is this the GE effect of increased ticket and room prices?

Just thought I’d post as an FYI for anyone with existing reservations that are looking to change dates around, as I’m assuming any changes made would be at the current increased rates.

Also, we booked “rack rate” back in November and still don’t have any promotions applicable to our trip dates. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I have a room only reservation for 2 nights in early December at Pop. I noticed about one week ago that the room rates for those nights had increased by $15/night. I also have a reservation at the Contemporary for several nights after I check out of Pop, those rates have increased by $25 to $30/night.

glad i saw this post, i booked pkgs for my son and his gf and then none for myself-dh and youngest dd...this being said, i just found cheap flights but would need to add a night to both ends of the trip....was on hold and disconnected twice, came here to see if i could find an answer. looks like i mat have to book 2 separate room only rack rate rooms for the trip-only hoping to not have to change rooms for the last night-first night is fine-i just won't unpack! i tried to book and see the cost difference but nothing was available for the night in total-only can get prices for the one night each end. now do i add 1 night in the beginning at all star music($113 plus tax/$128) and then move to Pop...Pop is $143 plus tax....and then hopefully upgrade to an annual pass(Daughters both want to plan trips-1 in the spring and one in the fall)

Seems like they are quietly raising room rates in advance of releasing room rate/package prices for next year?

I wouldn't doubt POP is gonna be a bit more with the Skyliner.

OP also keep in mind that room rates are based on 2 adults, 1 junior, and 1 child meaning if you add a 3rd adult its going to increase the bill by about $15 per night I believe.

Increased call room rates aren't unusual. Unusual but not surprising is that Pop typically goes up $5.

Between an added adult price and added ticket prices, $200 for a week long stay isn't out of line really. I'd think it would be more quite honestly
I can see that difference without any room rate increases.
Heck, $200 could be simply the ticket increase for 3

Ours went up $325! (I posted that in the regular Pop thread a few days ago).

Unfortunately now that Food and Wine has been extended this year, it looks like Pop isn’t going to happen for us this year (I do not want to go during Food and Wine).

I am kicking myself for not booking a back up reservation for a different date in case the first one didn’t work out. Now there is nothing available at Pop for the other dates (and the prices have gone way up).

I’m very disappointed!

Yep my CSR cl room I booked last month went up $12 a nite for Columbus weekend.

We are booked at All Stars Music for December and I just go in and check periodically and the hotel cost has gone up $10 a night. Guess there is something for locking in the room so early.

I would call this the Galaxy's Edge tax... Disney is going to try and recover the $1B they spent on each land....
