6 days to go and we had to cancell

i guess i have come here for a little encouragement and to hear i did the right thing.
hello everyone!! we only had 6 days to get on the plane and we had to cancell our 10 day WDW vacation! I am sooooooo upset.
i have been counting the days since january, so this is quite upsetting..
But in the longrun i hope it was the right decision
an opportunity fell into my lap to open my own business, i have been dancing since i was 3 years old and teaching for 20 years and i am opening my own school!!! i cant believe it! with all that needs to be done to get the school ready it did not make much sense to be away
i know it was the hardest decision i have had to make, i tried and tried, i checked the budget board to see if there was a way to go and save more money, but with 2 DS and 1 DH we like to go to the world and have a good time and i did not want to have to cut the vacation short or sacrifce spending money, so we cancelled, the kids are taking this much better than i am...
My master plan is to go for thanksgiving, because now i have to go with school vacations... since i will be the only teacher...did i do the right thing??? how is WDW at Thanksgiving? we always go in MAY??? AHHHHHHH i am having deep withdrawls!

I think you made the right decision. Disney is all about making dreams come true, and it's obvious that you've made yours come true. Disney will always be there, and your plan to go in Thanksgiving sounds good. I think at this point of starting your business, it's a precarious time and you should focus on making it successful. i am feeling so much better, i got a Disney pick me up from everyone!!! I will be there for thanksgiving, Southwest let me rebook my tickets for a later date!! they are a great airline! thank you everyone, i will lwt you all know how business goes

Thank you heart4dis, i will look for it, one thing that has already happened is the fact that my children are still terrified to fly and now with the elevated level of terror alert i am glad we do not have to get on an airplane. that is one sign..

I think you made the right decision and I'm so glad you were able to just postpone the trip rather than cancel it all together. I know that had to bring your spirits up and make you feel more sure about this being the right decision for now.

today is the day we would have left and i am feeling so down! i cant help it! i fell off the diet i am drinking too much coffee and feel too much anxiety, but on the other side, i found a floor for the school 98cents a square foot! yay! but then went to the studio today and the roof was leaking! ugh!! how much longer until thanksgiving????? could someone email me a disney pick me up????

I don't know if this will be a Disney pick me up, but it will be a dance school business pick me up. I also own my own dance studio. Started when I was 3 also.

that is so true, sometimes we need to see things in the proper perspective.... Disney will be there today and tomorrow, and the next day and the next....
Thanksgiving will be here before i know it!
