6 day pass: How many days at which parks?

Thinking ahead to our trip next August (2018). We know that obviously Pandora will be open, and I want to assume (for planning sake) that Toy Story Land will be open as well. We purchased 6 day basic passes, I'm kicking myself for not going for the 7 days (I'm assuming there is no way to change that now?). Anyways, this is our list of things that we will want to do. Based on that, how would you split up our days? Will we even be able to do all our "musts" in 6 days (let alone our wants)? We will have FP+ of course but also a DAC that we can use. We absolutely cannot do full days. We can do RD/afternoon break/evening, RD to 2/3, or probably a late afternoon arrival where we stay for the evening. I realize this is still a ways out, but I'm mostly asking just for fun (to scratch that itch), but I'm also truly wondering if 6 days will be enough, or if we will need that 7th day... in which case we are going to need to adjust our budget.

So our list of must/wants:

MK MUSTS: Fireworks, Parade, Friendship Faire, Muppets, Splash, 7D, Barnstormer, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Tom Sawyers Island, Swiss Family Treehouse, BTMR, Space Ranger Spin, Laugh Floor, Little Mermaid, Mad Tea Party, Enchanted Tales, Merida, Gaston, Buzz (here or at HS)

MK Wants: Dumbo, Jungle Cruise, Riverboat, Aladdin, Main Street Cars, Pooh, Speedway, Philharmagic, Carousel, People Mover, Carousel of Progress

HS MUSTS: Star Wars fireworks, Launch Bay, any and all SW meet & greets, Jawa trading (if still going?), JTA, Star Tours, Path of the Jedi, First Order March (basically anything and everything Star Wars), TSMM, Flying Saucers, Slinky Dog coaster, Fantasmic, Frozen Sing a Long, Indiana Jones, meet Magic Mickey and Olaf

HS Wants: Muppet Vision, Beauty and the Beast, Mermaid, meet Sophia and Jake, TSMM 2nd time

AK MUSTS: Visit Pandora - both day and night, and will do both rides, Safari, Lion King, Kali, all the animal trails (allowing a good hour for the Gorilla and Maharajah trails - our kids LOVE animals), we'll also be doing Wilderness Explorers, Flights of Wonder, Rivers of Light, meet Balou and Louie

AK Wants: Nemo, ITTBAB, Pocahontas, Tarzan, second ride on Kali, Mt. Everest

EP MUSTS: Frozen Ever After, Norway, meet A&E, China, Chinese Acrobats, meet Mulan, Gran Fiesta, Nemo/Seas/Turtle Talk (we'll likely need at least an hour to explore the Seas), Mission Space: Green with ATI, Soarin, Spaceship Earth with Project Tomorrow

EP Wants: Figment and Image Works, Living with the Land, IllumiNations, Club Cool, meet Pluto

If you cannot do full days (we can't either!), I really think you will need that 7th day. I, myself, am having trouble trying to figure out how to do Pandora at night AND ROL in one night, and I just don't think it will happen. If you want to add that 7th day, you can do it for a very small charge when you arrive at the resort (going from a 6 to 7 day ticket will only cost you about $20 per ticket). If you decide to do this, I would book your must-do FP+ for the first 6 days and then make your 7th day FP+ once you upgrade.

So maybe the question becomes "Can I do Animal Kingdom in one day?" Will it be possible to do ROL and walk through Pandora in the same evening? How late do we realistically think they'll keep AK open in mid-August?

I would think you should be able to add the 7th day if you call and talk to a CM. For sure you will be able to add it when you arrive, but then you lose the advantage of booking your FP+ ahead of time for that day. I added an extra day for Disneyland at the resort last year but FP were not an issue at that park since they still have the old ticket system. As mentioned above, going from 6 to 7 days adds very little in the way of cost, but of course, you'll have to factor in the extra cost of food and snacks.

You have a lot of things on the must do list, but I still think it might be possible if you rope drop and hustle. If you leave it at 6, I would do 2 MK, 2 AK, 1 Epcot and 1 HS.

Yes, I think you could walk through Pandora and do ROL, the same evening. I'd say regular hours would be between 9pm-11pm. It's definitely a night time park now.

As for doing it all in one day? I think your "must" list is doable if you stay all day, but it gets so hot mid day in August, we find the outdoor trails miserable that time of year.

This is precisely our dilemma. We are going the last week of August. AK closes at 9:30 pm, ROL is at 8:45 pm and sunset is around 7:55 pm. We have the ROL dining package right now (which I'll probably drop because I don't really want to spend touring time eating) and was thinking of trying to book FP+, but even then, we may have maybe 15 -20 minutes of Pandora nighttime touring time after the show since I think I would need to line up by 8:15 pm to get into the show with either the package or FP+. Unless they extend August hours, we'll probably skip ROL altogether this trip.

I cant see only spending one day at animal kingdom now that pandora is open. I would add a 7th day. But it could probably be done if it was what you really wanted to do. I think it would require giving up the mid day break though which our family really needs too.

OP, I'd recommend bumping this thread in a few months after Pandora is open to the public, and posters can do more than speculate on your question about Pandora and RoL at night.

You can upgrade to the seventh day when you get there. I was unable to upgrade on the phone when I tried.

Based on your list, I'd plan at least two days for MK. I think you can do your Epcot list in one day. That leaves 1.5 days each for AK and DHS if you don't upgrade and if you do have PH. Without PH, I'd plan 2days at AK and one at DHS unless Toy Story land is recently opened. Then, you may want to do 2 days DHS as the new land will be crowded. If you do upgrade to 7 days and have PH, maybe plan the seventh day to catch what you missed at your fave parks.

I never thought of the extra crowds at HS... good point. I saw somewhere on the board that the projected opening is May '18.

Your trip is still over a year away. You can certainly add days or the park hopping option to your package.

Your wants list for AK looks longer and has things on it that take longer than your Epcot list so if I would be looking at EP in one day before I would look at AK in one day. But, really I would look at a 7th day.
