What was the posted wait time? Someone in another thread said it was already at 90 minutes?!

My wife and I were the first two official guests to ride it this morning! A manager took our picture with his cell phone before we went into the queue. Just got off and now it's a 90 minute and rising wait time.

Cool!!!

I'm looking forward to booking some FP's next week when we hit our 60 day mark!

Have a great day. I'll be thinking of you as I give Algebra tests to 160 kids... then grade 160 papers :)

Kind of stupid that they have it open for the 24 hour event. Hopefully it's only open for a brief period of time and they close it again. I don't see a point in announcing a May 28th release date if it's open a week+ in advance for people to ride. I understand CM testing and random people, but just opening it up before release date especially on a 24 hour day event...pretty stupid.

I planned to go on the 28th to be there on opening day. If I would've known it would be open for the 24 hour event or any other time, I would've went then instead of the 28th.

Cool for the people there now and I'd definitely love to hop on it if I was there. But just plain stupid for those that made a trip out of going for OPENING day to be among the first regular guests to ride when that would no longer be the case. I'm hoping they do some extra stuff or something on opening day.

Congrats to those able to ride it. I'm interested in how long the wait time gets

In line now, beyond excited!!!
~Yay! I did not know the party was today, lol! Have fun! :goodvibes

Just got thru the line OUTSIDE the queue at 640am and posted wait time is 180 minutes
~OMG! Already?!? Anyway, have fun today! :goodvibes

~I am really impressed with all of the positive reviews for the mine train! :cool1:

I disagree, but can also sympathize with you at the same time because of your travel plans. The attraction has had soft openings for the past two weeks to get out the kinks in the system. I think it is very responsible for them to do this before the official opening day; issues with it then could be disastrous. All attractions have these types of sporadic and limited time openings for this very reason. I say kudos to Disney for doing so.

Just overheard a manger say that she's not sure how long the ride will be open for today. She said there's a possibility they could still close the line.

The line to get INTO the queue wraps all the way around the Mine Ride wall and ends at the front of Storybook Circus

I agree, how far apart are these two attractions??? I haven't been there in 2 years.

Both in the core of Fantasyland. Close enough to make that part of the park uncomfortable to navigate if you don't need to be there. It has little effect on us because it's me and a 12 year old who isn't really into much in that area, but it would have been different when she was younger. Disney are generally quite good at controlling crowds so it will be interesting to see how they deal with this when the train is up and running.

I agree with Nikki, they need to assess potential issues and channeling crowds and lines is also part of it.
