6/7/11 - It's a double dip DREAM!

Where exactly are you going to send it?! Are you staying in a hotel the night before or something? Will they just hold it for you? I think you may be on to something here!

I will mail it from my home in MN a week or so before sailing... per the instructions below.

Info I found on these boards:
Boxes Sent the Ship Ahead of Cruise - PLEASE follow these instructions carefully!!!!!! UPDATED AS OF 2/25/2009
• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)
Address your package(s) to:
Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)
8633 Transport Drive
Orlando, FL 32832
Phone: 407-566-8196

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package • Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic (Saturday).
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Sunday).
• Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00pm for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday).

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

Info from emailing DCL myself:
The items must arrive by the following time frame:
-If the cruise is sailing on a Saturday or Sunday, then the package must arrive by 3:00pm on Friday.
-If the cruise is sailing on a weekday (e.g. Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, or Friday), then the package must arrive by 3:00pm the day
before the cruise.

Please ensure the following information is on the package being
delivered:

*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)

Packages may be sent to the following address:
Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
8633 Transport Drive
Orlando, FL 32832
Phone: 407-566-8196
Fax: 407-566-3505

Seems pretty straightforward. I expect I can send a small box for less than $20; it would cost me $25 or more for another piece of airline luggage, and I'd have to haul it to the airport and to the port...

I'm actually thinking of sending 2 boxes - one to my stateroom with (like I said before) my FE's, my FE gifts, some of my door decor, my pirate night accessories - stuff I don't need to haul around for the 4 days we are in Orlando prior to sailing; and a second box to my mom & daughter's room - with some beach/sand toys (those take up too much room in a suitcase!). It would be a fun treat for my kid to have a package to open when she gets to her room!

Oh the sand toys are a great idea. I was thinking of trying to cram some into our luggage but sending it is a great idea and we can just leave them there. We're also bringing our snorkle stuff we use for our pool and I don't care to bring those home, either!

We also have 2 rooms - the kids in one and ours connected to theirs. Maybe I'll send one to each if packing gets tight. What I need to do is an actual practice pack to see how much room we have. We're going to WDW the week after the cruise so I don't want to get bogged down.

Thank you for the info!!!!! :lovestruc

Wohoo! What will you be doing 5 weeks from now???????:dance3:

Can't wait!!! This time next month..... (I'm trying to enjoy the anticipation as much as possible, getting things ready, etc. Been looking foward to May for many, many months and IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!!!) I enjoy the month prior to the cruise as much as the cruise!!! I hate after the cruise :sad1:

This month IS so fun! I'm starting a pile of stuff on our formal dr table that I want to pack (extra sun screen, aloe, batteries, etc). Every time I walk by it, I have to smile. :cutie:

Now, more good news! OPI has Pirates of the Caribbean nail polish! I'm trying to decide between Steady as she Rose, Sparrow me the Drama, or Planks a Lot. SO fun! :jumping1:

Ooooo, maybe they'll play the movie on the ship? Think it comes out the end of May though, probably will see it before the trip. :goodvibes

I still need pirate stuff! Anyone know where to get anything on sale?

We are keeping it pretty low key - but it's nice to know my nails will be in the pirate spirit!

Okay, I'm going to go wander around the boards looking for some new information. Wish me luck. I may get lost and not be able to dig myself out until next week sometime! I have this page bookmarked - I rarely go into the "great beyond" of the disboards - it's way too overwhelming!

But I'm feeling brave right now! :surfweb:

Does anyone have a link or copy to a 5 night navigator on the Dream?

When I called and spoke to a Disney Rep this is what I was told
Tuesday: Golden Mickeys
Wednesday: Semi formal night
friday: Pirate party

He said the other shows did not have confirmed nights. Dreams is the last show but he was not sure if it would be thursday or Saturday or if Villians was Wednesday, or Thursday.

 Now that I wrote this I am not sure that it helps.

I found this information:

For 5 Night Cruises departing on a Tuesday:
Night 1- Cruise Casual
Night 2- Cruise Casual
Night 3- Dress Up Night
Night 4- Pirate Night- Special Menu
Night 5- Cruise Casual- Special Menu (this is still a ? but a good possibility)

Dining Room Rotations (Restaurants repeat 1&5 3&4)
1- RP, AP, EG, EG, RP
2- EG, RP, AP, AP, EG
3- AP, EG, RP, RP, AP

Isn't the rotations different than what was posted before? I don't remember it repeating on the 5th?

This is different than what has been posted before! UGH!!!

Before it was semi formal on Thursday and pirate night on Friday. This so messes up our Palo!!! Has anyone else been told these new days, too?

Darn! I see you went back and edited but you still have semi formal on Wednesday. Originally this was on Thursday, the sea day.

I specifically booked Palo on Thursday for semi formal cause we were gonna go with kids to early dinner, get family pictures, then go off to Palo for a late meal. I figured we'd stay dressed up all night. Man!!!

I called back and was given the same info with dress up night being on Wednesday. However, both times I spoke to reps they did not sound to confident in the information they were giving.
