6/7/11 - It's a double dip DREAM!

Man time is flying by!!! We're 36 days from sailing!! We can't wait. I haven't posted for awhile, but I wanted to post with an update to our plans...

We will be arriving on Friday prior and staying at OKW for 4 nights before driving over to port.

Room Assignments:
2052 - Me, DW, DS(9), DD(7)
2054 - Grandma, Grandpa, DS(4), DD(2.5)

As a family of 6 we needed 2 rooms, so we had to talk grandma & grandpa into coming along. But... They like Disney too so it was an easy sell!! :)

So far we've got the Stingray excursion booked at 10AM on Wednesday, and Molly, Eric, and I are Jet Skiing from 10a-11 on Saturday. Eric is very excited about this as he wasn't old enough the last time we were on CC to jet ski with us. I'm excited too because Jet Ski's are my favorite, but we're kind of land locked here in OH!! :D

Anyway, I've posted a bit, but have been lurking since the beginning so I wanted to post our plans now that it's almost here and nothings going to change. I wish we could've participated in the FE, but I was just at a loss for what "gift" to give and I kind of dropped the ball on that.

Oh, I like the idea of maybe gathering a bit at the port, I"m really hoping to be there when they open at 10:30, but getting 8 people moving in the same direction could be difficult so we'll see!!! :D

Hope everyone is safe with all the rain!

Mark

Hi, fellow Buckeye. This is my first post here, but I thought I'd check out the thread now that we're getting close.

It will be me, DH, DS12, DS10. We are flying in the night before and staying at CI&S at the port. Hoping to get everyone up and to the port by 10:30 or so.

This is my fourth cruise on DCL. I wanted to try out the new ship. The only thing we have planned for an excursion is the bottom fishing at CC.

Did we decide where we were meeting? I must have missed that and I can't find it. I usually would like the idea of meeting at the port but we are doing back 2 back cruises so I will already be in board :) Oh well, I'd love to meet everyone but I will be there in spirit!

Alright!

We are also doing the back to back so we will also be on board!

We are all very excited!!!

I signed us all up for parasailing on CC. I saw some photos on AllEars that has me rethinking that plan. I have arthritis and have had both knees replaced so they are very weak with regards to climbing. The pic I saw has people going up and down a ladder to get into the boat. Does anyone have experience with this and could confirm that there are ladders and not steps? I will post on the regular board if no one has any info for me. TIA!!!

Everybody check your reservations! I just noticed I've been upgraded from a 9B OV on Deck 2 to a 6A Verandah on Deck 8!!!!

Holy Carp, Batman.

That's awesome.

I checked mine. Still in the same spot. Plus - I still haven't received my credit.

On our last cruise my daughter and I did parasailing. I don't remember having to do climbing that was difficult. We landed right on the back of the boat when coming down. My daughter does recall a ladder going from the pier to the boat but she said it wasn't long. Hope that helps!

We were worried about getting everyone up and going to - so we decided to do a character meal for breakfast before heading out to port! We thought getting up and going might be easier with a Mickey hug!

I'm so RIDICULOUSLY excited that I just made my husband get my suitcase out of the attic.

Yeah - I am REALLY getting curious about whether or not all the stuff I want to pack is going to fit in my suitcase. . .

I may have to be more selective. Oh, who am I kidding? I'm totally going to put my stuff in my kids suitcases if I run out of room. :rolleyes1

I'm going to ship a box to the port; stuff that I won't need until we board, like the FE's the FE gifts, pirate night accesories, etc. That way I have a box ready to ship back home with all my souvenirs and gifts from you wonderful people. Shipping a small box has to be cheaper thay paying for more airline luggage!

and no such luck from the upgrade fairy for us...

Where exactly are you going to send it?! Are you staying in a hotel the night before or something? Will they just hold it for you? I think you may be on to something here!
