To help my 4-year-old understand what "48 days" looks like, we made a Disney paper chain.

I found the printed strips on another site (I forget which, mouse for less maybe?), free to download, I just had to cut the strips out.

Wow cute and educational!!!! :thumbsup2

This is a great idea! Your chain looks excellent. Let the countdown begin! :)

I apologize if this information has been asked before but I couldn't find it on the boards or on the Disney website. How late can excursions be cancelled without penalty? The cruise is a surprise for our girls and I've booked several excursions but will probably cancel at least 1 or 2 depending on what my oldest would rather do. DH and our oldest swam with the dolphins at Blue Lagoon last summer so I'd rather do something else this time but it was such an awesome experience I went ahead and signed us up for the Blue Lagoon Dolphin encounter so the whole family can participate (youngest DD isn't old enough for the swim). If our oldest isn't disappointed about not doing the dolphin thing this year I'd like to cancel it. But I won't know that until we tell them about the cruise...

Just wanted to share the feedback I got from Disney re: excursion cancellations.

Lastly, all pre-reserved services can be booked or cancelled up to 3
days prior to saildate via our website. After that time, all
reservations are final and the cost of the pre-reserved port adventures
will be charged to your shipboard account onboard.

The past couple of days have been good for my family - My husband completed his first Boston Marathon today:worship: and had a lot of "fun" doing it.

My daughter and her best friend both competed in their Regional Gymnastic Meet this past weekend and both of them qualified to the Junior Olympic National Gymnastic Meet in California in May.

I am very proud of all of my athletes this weekend.

:lovestruc:woohoo::yay: Well, put it way up high - I don't want anyone walking away w/it! hahaha

So, guess what? My husband is getting my Easter decorations out for me today (yes, I am aware it's less than a week away - maybe I should have him get the Christmas ones out now so I'm ready?) and the suitcases are in the same closet!!! I think I'm going to swipe mine and do a practice pack.

I told him I wanted to see how many pairs of shoes I could fit. He said, "I'll tell you right now how many - two." lol

Wow, that is awesome!!! Maybe your gymnasts can teach my Level 6 boy some moves!!! :cool1:

Two pairs of shoes???? He obviously doesn't know how many a woman really needs! :rotfl2: I'm going to try to limit myself to 4! Although I think my daughter will try to bring more than me. Good thing we're driving! ;)

It will be me, DH, DS (10) and DD (8). We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside before the cruise. :yay: I know this is sorta late, but is there anyway of making it onto the FE exchange?

any of you experienced cruisers ever run the Castaway Cay 5K?

Just wondering if there is a "time limit". DH and I are what you might call "pooh sized" (or "recovering" pooh sized, he's down 28#, I'm down 21# since January)... we're trying, but fitness is still a long way off...

Do they expect you to RUN the whole thing? or is a jog/walk allowed? I'm thinking we could do it in about 45 minutes (assuming it's not too hot)...

:confused3

Hi all!

FYI - we went to Sam's Club tonight and bought $100 Disney gift cards (good on board the ship or at WDW) for $98.62 AND it came with a $10 Disney STORE gift card (not good on the ship or at WDW, but good at Disneyshopping.com). So - $110 for less than $99!

(Not only that - but Mom was buying the gift cards to repay me for putting our WDW dining plan on my Disney rewards credit card - which earned me $5 in rewards for my initial purchase. So - we made out with over $45 in free money between the Sam's deal and the initial purchase!)

I had first heard of this deal on the budget board here - so we've been looking. They're not in all the clubs - we've checked the two in Irving and finally found them at the one on 114 in Grapevine.

Also, I haven't gotten to verify this one, but Kroger supposedly has a deal where you buy a three-pack of $15 Disney cards (good on the ship or at WDW) and you get a $5 off your next visit at Kroger coupon. One lady would buy the three-pack, get the coupon, then go back and buy another three-pack and use the $5 coupon to bring the price down to $40. That and I believe Kroger is giving double gas credit on gift card purchases right now. Again, this is unconfirmed - but might be worth checking. Especially if you have Easter baskets that need filling!

I'll add you to my FE list, if you tell us your names (optional) and stateroom # (necessary)

I "translated" the spreadsheet for my MIL and Mom who are both technology impaired... (let me know if this link works)...

We are in a GTY room and have not received a room assignment yet. Wish us luck. We are Carrie (Adult), Matt (Adult), Brent (10) and Madison (8).

AWESOME!!! We are toying around with the idea of putting my 3-year-old in some sort of gymnastics class. With the way she has to walk on every single curb in every single parking lot, I'm convinced she will be wonderful on the balance beam! ;)

O.K. - here's my thoughts on this and I promise, I PROMISE I'm not trying to be an **** about this, BUT it seems as if we keep saying "o.k., one more, but no more after this". This would make 30 cabins and at that point, as much as I hate it, I'm for splitting it up. (although, I better be in mrswarr's group because I want my sticker/magnet!!!! )

That's just my thoughts, but I'm sure I will go with the majority. :hippie:
